Finally starting to make some decent money:

I thought I would share the things I've been doing to make money online lately, because I'm finally starting to see some decent money from it. The key is taking up a couple different online money strategies, and putting in the time for each one to learn some basic fundamentals. It's important to note that earning money online is rarely going to make you as much per hour as a typical job but it is far more convenient. The first thing I do is work for ChaCha. It's not great money on a per hour basis, but I've managed to make over 70 dollars working for them, simply answering questions and fixing typos. The second thing is Ebay, which I never really considered using, but have just recently started and really do get some nice extra cash for just a little bit of effort selling anything I don't want. I've also just begun writing some articles for online sites like Helium and Yahoo Contributor Network, they will pay you decent sums for articles you write up on things that interest you. The last thing is a little more risky, but using penny auctions like QuiBids is a decent way to get giftcards for a lot less than they are worth, which you can then use or sell to places like PlasticJungle. And the most recent thing I'm trying is myLot, but you all probably know more about it than me, since this is my first post here! I'd be glad to answer any questions about any of these ways of making money!

Great to know that GreatPapi is doing well for himself and you have been nice enough to share the ways you make those money, really very glad as i am trying to make some real good cash.
I have some question that needs verifying, like Chacha, isn't it for only US residents, another is a very thorough explanation on how you earn using penny auctions, like Quibids, what are they methods used and what other way do you know of that could be tried to use to earn some money.
Thanks for mentioning yahoo and helium, already know that and do some writing already. Waiting for your response and would send a friend add request.

Greatpapi, another great response and quite quick, am willing to try it out but it does work for non US residents and what types of gift cards do they offer because for people like would only bid on Amazon gift cards only and how do they accept payment for their initial fees like the $60 you talked about, willing to know more about these methods of earning or benefiting over the internet.
We all have areas we are conversant with but also willing to learn other ways to help yourself and members of your family who depend on you, regards and thanks for the much anticipated response.
Would be better if you could provide time to tut me over mail or messengers, anyway you prefer would be much appreciated.

Quibids only ships to the US unfortunately, so you wouldn't be able to use it if you are outside the US.

ChaCha is only for US residents. Quibids is the penny auction site I use. You have to pay $60 to get your first hundred bids, and then you can get 25 more bids in your beginner auction. Since then I simply look for the giftcards without bids that are around 15-25 dollars, sometimes they come with bids as well, and try to bid on them at one second. Sometimes you can get it for 1 cent, and sometimes you get into a bidding war with someone, and you just need to decide beforehand how many bids you are willing to risk for the card (sometimes I just do 1 bid, but sometimes I am willing to put in 5-10). You only need to win a few to get your money back, and the rest is pretty much profit. I'm planning to sell them at plasticjungle.com to get about 21 bucks for a 25 dollar gift card.

Welcome to myLot! :)
How long did it take you to make the $70 at ChaCha? I tried that 'way back when they first started and their software didn't play well with my computer, so I never really got started. How do you get paid for finding typos??
I also tried eBay, but mostly sell books, so now I use Amazon because it doesn't cost anything if the book doesn't sell. Mostly, I write, but sometimes I get disgruntled with that. Or maybe I'm getting lazy and don't like to think so hard any more.

I first signed up for ChaCha about a year ago and made some of the money when I first signed up, then didn't use it for a long time and started back up a couple weeks ago. I calculated I usually get around 3.30/hr doing it, I just take my time and enjoy it rather than going as fast as I can for more money. Most of the job is fixing typos because as an expediter you have to take the text message and make it into a grammatically correct, typo-free, succinct question, and sometimes just pick or write an answer to the question. I've been thinking about doing some selling on Amazon instead.

That doesn't sound too hard to do. I'm not looking to get rich, just some pocket money right now, so the pay doesn't seem too bad. Amazon is a good place to sell books if you use some common sense. I've found that if I price mine just a little below the lowest price for the condition it will sell pretty quickly.

Yeah I came to realize it wasn't going to give me so much money that I could just live off it (unless I spent my whole life online) but after enough trial and error these seem to be some things that bring in a little cash.

Thanks for sharing your ways of making money. never tried chacha is it hard to join? Ebay is good but you have got to have the good things to sell to make the money though. It can be really good if you have the stuff. Good Luck and take care.

It's not too tough to join, it's all online, there is a little training session and then a test to see if you can do the job well enough and you're on!

I am glad that you find ways to make some good money. I am earning a little bit here and there, and it isn't much, but I feel that it all adds up in time. I keep on looking for ways to make more money, and it is hard to find anything decent where I don't get scammed. It really does take time to make anything at all, as it doesn't happen overnight. I didn't think I would find any ways to make money,a s I had looked for so long, that I almost gave up, and it wasn't until I found mylot that I found the other sites that I decided to join as well. Since I am on a fixed income, anything I make online is just extra, even though it isn't a lot. I do wish you the bedst though, and happy mylotting.

Great tips--sounds like you are doing well. Another site to write for is Triond--you won't make a ton of money, but it is very easy to get published there.
Welcome to mylot!
