Do you believe in karma or what comes around goes around? Do you think the universe punishes us for what it might consider bad behavior?

The universe does not punish us for our bad behaviour. It is we who punish ourselves.Karma is nothing else but the fruits of our actions, both good and bad which we did in our past births and even in our present birth. We have to either suffer or enjoy the fruits of our bad deeds or good deeds which we have carried out.So we should accept both with equanimity and not curse anyone, our fate or God, but should realize that we are just simply getting our due.

hi hmkolct5 yes I do as I have seen what goes around come back to bite the wrongdoer in the butt a lot of times. I believe in the golden rule as taught to me 80 odd years back do unto others as you would have them do unto you. kindness has a way of repaying you twice fold.love thy neighbor as thy self. all those all teachings really are good and correct. kindness costs nothing and hate and meanness c an cost a lot.

I do believe in karma. I do not, however, believe that the universe punishes us. The universe is unbiased. Karma is simply the balance of energy. If we put out negative energy, negative energy will be returned to us. If we put out positive energy, positive energy will be returned.

I do I do. I'm not sure if it's the universe, but I do think that the things we do will come back on us one way or another. I have experienced and seen it in action. I am very careful as to how I handle people and situations. Ex. once I seen a homeless man begging for food at the corner of a parking lot. I didn't give him money, but I bought a pizza and a 2-liter of sunkist. The next day at work, I got a letter from human resources saying they had over charged me all year for my medical insurance..just a few cents per check but in a lump sum, it was a little over a hundred dollars. I think that Karma rewards too.

I don't think it's necessarily the universe "punishing" us... I just think that you attract what you put out and if you are doing things that are negative or hurtful/harmful then you are going to attract that back to you, though not necessarily instantaneously.

It's a nice concept but I've seen little proof of it. Greedy people get away with everything while good, law-abiding people can't catch a break.

I believe that it doesn't matter what happens in our lives; it's how we deal with, and what we learn from, these experiences. Also, there has never been any seemingly bad thing that has happened in my life that hasn't eventually lead to something good.

We Chinese have an old saying "You are doing and the God is watching".Of course I don't believe it.But sometimes it may scare those who do bad things. We call this A bad conscience is a snake in one's heart

I don't believe in Karma and I don't believe the universe is pushing us towards any behavior. I do think that Karma lines up with some common sense to live by. If you lie, you prove yourself untrustworthy, and that can come back to haunt you. But there's no universal law that says it will. At the same time I think that if we can all act towards others the way we want to be acted towards, less bad things will happen to us, and others will help us out when they do. That kind of lines up with Karma in a more broad sense, humanity acts selfishly sometimes, and sometimes that leaves us on the short end of the bargain.

If you do something bad to someone then later in life something bad could happen to you. So you shouldn't do something to others that you wouldn't like to be done to you. Just cause you think is funny doesn't mean is funny to the other person. Is not going to be funny when they do it to you. I can't say for sure karma is real or is not. It could be real or it could not.
