why americans love footbal and hate soccer ?

i like both sports but its i hate when the americans fans say that soccer sucks and they dont know anything about the game

well it depend upon the general people what they want to watch ...when soccer enter in Usa , rugby was very fammous people do not to try football and it also raise threat to rugby as both game is alittle bit of same....hope i answer the question
