I visited the dermatologist last friday due to some allergies i got from nowhere. The physician just asked me a few questions and handed me a piece of paper. My bill is about a thousand pesos for about 5 to 10 mins talk. I wanted a receipt.. why was it so expensive. do you think that physicians should issue receipts? do they pay their taxes based on their income?

That's expensive! Of course doctors, even dermatologists, should issue a receipt. It's the law. Especially if the amount is that big. And yes, their taxes are based on their income. You should have demanded for your receipt. But when you do, since you want to know why it was so expensive, tell them you want an itemized receipt. It should show the service or product that you were billed for and how much it was. Actually, sometimes they even have to show the computation of the VAT and other charges. I think it's about time to search for a new dermatologist.
