The Supreme Court Again Rejects "Birther" Appeal

CNN reports that the Sup.Ct. has again rejected an appeal from a "birther" proponent questioning the citizenship of President Obama. Today, the Court turned aside without comment a request for a rehearing of various claims, after dismissing the original appeal in late January. Gregory Hollister had called on Justices Sotomayor and Elena Kagan to withdraw from considering the "constitutional" claims, contending a conflict of interest by the president's two high court appointees. Lower federal courts had also dismissed Hollister's claims. The high court had also dismissed earlier, unrelated lawsuits from individuals questioning the president's citizenship even though State birth certificate records show he was born August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii his mother is a native of Kansas; his father was born in Kenya. ..... Obama's staff produced copies of his birth certificate when he was running for president in 2008, and have previously dismissed questions over his citizenship. A CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll in July found that 71% of Americans believed Obama definitely or probably was born in the U.S., while 27% said he definitely or probably was not. The largest support of the idea that President Obama was definitely or probably not born in the U.S. was among Republicans, at 41% compared with Independents at 29%, and Democrats at 15%. Is this continuation of attempting to prove that the President is not an American citizen worth the paper the charges are written on ... how about the waste of time of the nation's lower and highest courts?

The *lawyers* who have pushed the majority of these cases are making a fortune on this issue so I'm sure wasting the court's time does not fall anywhere on their radar screen. Most notably, Orly Taitz, has received massive amounts of money from donations through her website by misguided individuals. As long as there's $$$$$$ to be made, these lawsuits will continue.

Excellent point! Shame on those lawyers who would load their bank accounts knowing that the courts as well as any election officials have already viewed the President's proper eligibility paperwork! Who wouldn't know that all that has already been Exhibit A!! One judge of a lower court wrote: "Any investigation of eligibility is best left to each party, which presumably will conduct the appropriate background check or risk that its nominee's election will be derailed by an objection to Congress, which is authorized to entertain and resolve the vaildity of objections following the submission of the electoral votes." Judge Arthur Scotland, sitting on the California court. With Republicans leading the House in attacking Women (Planned Parenthood), Gays (DOMA) and now Muslims (hearings that are meant to demonize American Muslims) ... why wouldn't they also hold hearings on our President's birthplace? I mean, they have no intentions or plans for JOB GROWTH, so why not continue their fraud?

I personally find this all very entertaining I mean really its not everyday you get several of the same carbon copy lawsuit claims that are getting rejected for a number of reasons besides the fact that tons of Computer experts have ran programs on the File for which the Image of the BC is located on wasn't edited or in any way changed through Adobe Photoshop or they will use the De Vattel definition of a Natural Born citizen never mind the fact that this person only published the Definition that citizenship comes from both the place and the parents. Which was the case for the place of where he was born. But even he referred to how it differed in English law that it was based on Soil. Or they will use the dissenters opinion and not the Majority or the way the court ruled. I think like I said they are just a small number of people and well they are largely misguided its okay though they have the right to their beliefs and well we have the right to laugh at their brainwashed souls.

To have a brainwashed soul, doesn't one first have to have both a brain and a soul...lol? I mean, clearly Orly Taitz, for example, has neither. Annie

Orly Taitz just doesn't seem to have a good understanding of the law or is very smart and knows that Obama is a Natural Born Citizen but is seeing a chance to make $$ on the whole thing in which case he is a true Capitalist.

The largest group of people who seem to think he wasn't born in the US is Kenyans. ;~D I just find it interesting that Obama himself can't seem to decide which of two hospitals he was born in. ;~D
