You are talking about friends with benefits. Although I am not one to entertain this because I live with my boyfriend now for 5 years. But what do I think about this? Well if both are consenting adults why not.
To each his own and they must remember that they cannot allow their hearts to be involved, which with time it may and someone would end up heart.
But it is not uncommon and people do engage so okay by me if they do.

it's hard not to allow your heart to get involved,,,we're humans and we have feelings. at least I couldn't do this. I'm not against it but I don't think I could stand to have a relationship like this

If you think he's kinda serious in saying that he is falling in love with you, if you like him or love him too give yourselves a chance if not better tell it to him and don't loose the friendship you have just because he loves you, if he really loves you he'll stay with and accept you even as a friend than to loose you forever.

i have done it many many years ago. when the guy told me that he had feeling for me we sat down and talked about it and we descusted the positives and the negatives about us being together. we ended up going out for a few month's and then it didn't work out but that doesn't mean it will not work out for you if that is what you wont.good luck
