I've been told from a couple sources that Japanese drama is a good method to make learning Japanese easier. I've already I found some online resources for me to study so I already know about the software and all that sort of stuff. I just need the extra help. Any way, what shows would you recommend or what are some of your favorite dramas from Japan? I'd prefer something that's not anime based. Not that I don't adore anime but its hard to keep up with their speaking at times.

I've been watching some japanese drama and anime but unfortunately I still need the english subtitles to help me understand the show. I was told that the most efficient way to learn japanese is to stay in japan for 1 year.

Same for me. Some times I can understand bits of what they're saying without the subs. I agree about staying there because then you'd pick up on the things that they don't teach you in the language classes.

I recommend Switch Girl. So far it doesn't have an anime version yet. But it is based on the manga of the same name. It is a very hilarious Japanese drama series. It's my latest favorite.

Hiya cups, The only Japanese Drama I have see up to now are a few older Films in Japanese that have subtitles because there is just no other way of understanding what they are saying altogether. That is quite hard to learn Japanese well I was told that by someone but I suppose that he meant having to learn the language and know how to do their Writing as well to go with it. Hope you get to learn it though as I love the way they speak it and the three different tones of voice that the Women use in particular to say the same thing but different.

Ive studied Japanese language in Japan for 2 years. The best or the fastest way to learn if you have money is to go to Japan and learn the language. or if you're in a budget get in a language school around your place buddy up with your classmate learn the basic. if you know some vocabularies thats the time you can watch a Japanese movie, drama or music video. it is also best to write a letter if you have a Japanese friend. hope this helps
