i know that some certain kinda discussions will obtain more responses but sometimes i just dont wanna do it that way,for example from all my discussions i have started so far,'do you think taiwan is a country'and 'is youtube available in your country'thers two got most responses,so knack is ask a simple question with a space of controversing.but that in my thoughts actually narrows the range of our discussing really.
i think this one i am typing now is propably not going well because it falls out of the knack .

As long as I have been a member here I really can't say which ones attracts most really. I do know that life issues do attract quite a bit, but sometimes it also depends on time of day.
With so many being from all over the world and difference in time zone sometimes discussions get drowned down below the tabs and some members do not go very far to search for good quality discussions.
Another reason also is when members assign a BR too quickly most members do not enter the discussions. Not because it is closed because no discussion is ever closed but some members feel if the BR is assigned too quickly the member perhaps is not interested in furthering the discussion.
Best of luck to you always because you may just be surprised by the difference in interest on different days of the week.

Sweets no need to apologize this is what friends are for. I always try to respond to all friends because I would hate for the discussion not earn you.

I think people are more likely to respond to discussions they can relate too. I think it also depends on the number of friends the person posting the discussion has. If not enough people see the discussion then there wouldn't be many responses to it. I think these are probably a few of the reasons I can think of and I am sure this list is not exhausted.

I start lots of discussion at mylot but some time they have been rejected. I have no Idea about that!
