Hey how long do you sleep? I usually do an 8 hr sleep on working days and on holidays it may be from 10 in the night to 10 in the morning. What do you think? Have any broken my record of sleeping so long a day. Do you think sleeping like that is good. I feel it as good. My parents say I will become lazy. I dont care about that.

I actually need lots of sleep but because of school, I get to sleep just 5-6 hours on weekdays. On weekends though I sleep a lot. At least 10 hrs but can sleep more lol. I slep too well and sometimes think it's bad coz once I sleep, I don't notice anything and can be sleeping for like hours.

I am also going to school and it is my exam time. Still I take a good sleep of about 8 hours. Try to get good amount of sleep, I am sure that it will help with your studies. Rather staying awake for the whole night and studying. Try it I had good results.

Sleeping is one of my favorite things to do. Unfortunately I can't afford to sleep much because I have a little child and she consumes most of my time. On working days the best sleep I can get is no more than 5 to 6 hours. On the weekends things are better and I can get to 7-8 hours of sleep sometimes. Sleeping enough is what I miss the most. I hope someday I will get the chance to catch up.

Hey just dont regret sleeping. From your timings I think you are under sleeping person. Dont you know that a human should at least sleep for 6 hours a day and 7 hours is good. Try to get at least 6 hours sleep, It would be good for your health.

Thank you for the nice words. I just took a vacation and I'm planning to sleep a lot more to catch up. But I guess it won't be much possible since my body is used to less sleeping. I only can hope I will get a 10 hour sleep at least once!

If so time to sleep up to 12 hours, it's okay to pay assuming lack of sleep (sleep debt) the previous night. But if almost every day to sleep more than 12 hours, even when you wake up and still felt quite fresh, this is a hypersomnia (as opposed to insomnia). Or, in popular terms in the medical world is also called excessive sleep Daytime Sleepiness (Eds.)

Whenever I am busy I only sleep for about 2 to 4 hours. However, when I have the luxury of time, I sleep for about 6 hours and above. Actually, I am a sleepyhead. That is why in class I sometimes sleep. lol

There are some bad physical side effects of oversleeping but not all of which are the same effect on other people. Some of the side effects are headaches, back pain, depression, and heart disease. For some people prone to headaches, sleeping longer than usual on a weekend or vacation can cause head pain. People who sleep too much during the day and disrupt their nighttime sleep may also find themselves suffering from headaches in the morning or upon wakening. There was a time when doctors told people suffering from back pain to head straight to bed. But those days are long gone. You need to curtail your regular exercise program when you are experiencing back pain. But doctors now realize the health benefits of maintaining a certain level of activity. And they recommend against sleeping more than usual, when possible.

Hi. kalesh13. I usually will sleep about 8 hours every night. At times, I will only get about seven hours of sleep. Even if I get this much of sleep, I still will feel tired and worn out. I think that I should and need more rest. I think that with you getting 10 hours of sleep is excellent. I wished that I could get this much myself at times. You won't be lazy, as long as you are not sleeping throughout the entire day.

I usually sleep 7-9 hours during vacation days. But during working days, it depends on until what time I stay up (I like sleeping late ) and it' usually 6-8 hours. The longest I've slept is not really a continuous sleep but more likely doing nothing but sleep throughout the day. I was very sick and when I wake up, I would maybe try to relax a bit but get to sleep again. I remember my classmate who shared to us that he needed 14 hours worth of sleep to get enough energy for the day. Too much sleep could actually be an indication of some psychological or maybe sleep disorder.

I try my best to get 8 hours sleep every night, and when I'm not at university early I sometimes get up to 10 hours sleep on certain nights! When I am in early though, I can end up only getting about six hours, as I tend to lie awake worrying about having to wake up early.. which is silly and incredibly counter productive!

Sleeping too long is not good for because it causesretirees more tired and notrefresh. Sometime naps are Sr good for needd to displine to wake up. Sleeping too much also cause my backbone to hurt too sometime headache also. i guess is not how long u sleep but how u sleep and such and also the environment .

I'm very agree with you. I usually do a 9-10 hr sleep on working days and on holidays it may be 12 hr sleep. I sleep more than you. My mother also says I become more and more lazy. But I think how much sleep is up to me. I like it, so I do it, haha. Walk yourself's road, let other people say.

it's truth, the longer you spend in sleep, the lazier you may get but i still usually tend to take a long sleeping just for better refreshing. you know extremes meet,i usually either sleep dreamed all over the world for 12 or more hours,or i only take a naplike sleeping that's so short.

Roughly in between six to eight hours is about the amount of time that I sleep. I tend to have a very tight schedule around when I sleep and when I get up. Granted, there is plenty of room for movement, but then again, I tend to wake up at a certain time and then I head off to bed at a certain time, like clockwork about ninety five percent of time. I really think that having a strict sleep schedule allows us to be more organized. If our sleep is not organized, then how well do you think the time that we are awake is going to be organized? Just some interesting food for though to be sure, especially considering that we spend more time awake, then we do asleep. Well some people, it is a far more narrow margin, but in general, we are awake more then we sleep.

What record? During the holidays, my sister sleeps for atleast 15 hours a day. Record 20. This is how it was done. Wake up for late tea around 5pm, after 10 minutes, she went back to sleep. Wake up for supper around 9.30pm, after few hours, she went back to sleep.
