the music to sleep

Even the night was already gone, here I was still awake and can't sleep. Maybe I am thinking of many things lately. I had insomnia for coupe of nights this week. I tried myself to relax and had my body exhausted during daytime to fall asleep at night easily. I even tried to drink warm milk to fall but still it didn't work. Watched television programs at the very end until the screen turns to rainbow-like and after that I took some DVD's then played some interesting movies. Still I was awake, maybe I was very anxious that I could not sleep and I don't know what I was anxious for. I got nothing to do then I hold my cellphone, took my headset and started to play the music. First, I played the RnB music and I was liking it, the dance beat made me nod repeatedly. I walked inside the room and lay down to bed. I listened in continuity and felt good and soothing to my ears. : ) The next thing I know was that I actually fall asleep. Music that time put me at ease, thanks. What kind of music you prefer listening before going to bed?

I don't really like to have music on when I'm trying to fall asleep. I find that I tend to concetrate on the song so I don't feel sleepy at all. I actually listen to music to help keep me awake, especially on long distance driving. But if I had to choose, I'll make it like in the spa. Soft instrumental music while I smell aromatherapy scents. Cos everytime I'm in the spa, I tend to fall asleep without me knowing it.

I listen to music when i am not doing anything, bored or during long travels. I don't listen for me to fall asleep. How can I if my brain is working in such music. Never been listening to music and lay to bed without knowing it. Maybe I had but don't remember so far

I don't have insomnia problem, but some nights, when I have had a very stressful day, especially at my work place, I couldn't sleep well. That's when I listen to some of my favorite music CDs. That makes my mind relaxed and free of the stresses, helping to fall asleep well.

Well, I prefer to sleep with silence. But if I had to pick, I would prefer listening to tranquil nature music. Like the sound of the rivers/ocean etc. It will put my mind in a serene state and let me sleep peacefully. IMO, it's much more effective than all the other genres of music.
