this kind of action is normally doing in last option, like in government if crimes are very rampant and nobody fear about the law - this is it. I remember such word mentioned in the bible - when all human raced have been addicted to sins... see you around

Ah I remember a TV series called: Dark Justice" where all the criminal paid for their acts even when the verdict was not guilty. There are many factors why in real life it cannot be implemented: people with oney bought the verdict, people with clever lawyer managed to evade the verdict, and so on. As to why the cruel acts increase, it's because of the mentality. We do not know what happened in someone's life that motivated them to do cruel things. We just hope that we and our loved ones are spared from such cruel things.

Well that is in the bible also but no one could take someone's life though except God of course. In my opinion, karma is on its way to those people anyway.

There should be done something but nobody got the time to think about it. You said "an eye for an eye" thats something which make us inhuman. Makes us like them. But its necessary for them to understand the lose they had. That is not gonna happen however. they have no fear nor from the punishment nor from the god. But most of the criminals have political contact or relationship. If the one who are to lead us are like this then what. The common man is in fear of the injustice, so he is unwilling fight. It may be a little comical but we need someone who do justice. The superheroes are not just imagination they are something which a common man is in need of....
