SLIM BEAUTY-why does this happen,aren't fat people beautiful?

" Everyone is beautiful, in their own way." isn't that how the song goes?

If you think you are beautiful..then now matter what your size..people will see you as beautiful...it's all in how you feel about yourself!

Being fat theres nothing wrong with that personality wise but when it comes to self confidence and health it is a major thing to pay close attention to. slim people are attractive to some physical to some and personality to others and small and few both. and same goes with being fat but in either side ( slim and fat) they have there consequences. so some may choose one for health reason and some for the appearance.

To me this kind of contests like Miss Universe and such are stupid... Beauty is a subjective matter, and anyway to be a truthful contest, they'd need to make partecipate every single woman in the world...

I am fat and I think I am beautiful! For some strange reason, most people are only able to see the cover and never bother to read the pages inside.

There are a couple of sayings - 'you cannot be all things to all people' and 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. There are some larger sized people who are beautiful, inside and outside, and there are some women who are of slimmer build who are not so attractive. We cannot all be the same or it would be a very boring world and so everyone should just accept people as they are, i.e. large or small, fat or thin, looking beautiful or unattractive. :)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but there are some generalisations like "look at her, she´s so skinny, she must be anorexic" or "look at her, she´s so fat she can´t stop stuffing her face" when the truth is... ok that might be so but some people are made that way. I have skinny friends who eat loads and don´t put on weight. I also know big people with gland trouble. Some people prefer being large. It´s up to them at the end of the day isn´t it? However, a fat person is never going to win Miss Universe (we´re being realistic here) because that look just doesn´t appeal to most people nowadays. Go back to the renaissance age... Roseanne Barr (the fat version not the post diet one!) would be the biggest (literally) supermodel in the world and Kate Moss would be used as a paintbrush.

fat people r beautiful people too, like i said in another discussion i was almost 300 pounds but i took pride in how i looked i wore clothes that suited me i never had a prblem getting a boyfriend,yes i say again fat people r beautiful too, i have to say though i did loss alot of weight and i feel alot better and alot healthier

there r alot of beautifdul fat people out thereand it's a shame that they don't always get the chance to shine and show just how beautiful they really are remember beauty is skin deep

From biological reasearch has been found, that living hungry on an average results in a longer life. But only, if it isn't to much of starvation. So nowadays and in countries with enough food, automatically the life prolonging slimness becomes the ideal of beauty. (And for a long life also you mustn't be very intelligent; so also stupidness goes well with a slim body to give "beauty" as a result .... at least is my impression from those Miss contests). In times where is not enough food and people die from starvation on an average the fat ones live longer. We had those times in Europe: Look on Baroque paintings what type of women have been the beauties by that time. Also I understood, that in poor areas of Africa the fat women are the beauties. They survive better when bringing up children.

whatever you say but slim is surely a necessity to be beautiful as it reflects the curves of your body. A fat person cant attract you by looks but can surely attract you by their talent, knowledge etc. I mean that the definetion for beauty may vary from person to person.

You know what, it's funny but true, fat people, women especially have more beautiful faces then regular thinner people/women.

It is a Shame, and only offers women a chance to want to be so Slim they become Anorexic. In my opinion, they need to have more Beaty contests for the Average sized woman, and the Plus sized woman, as Beauty overall is skin deep. This is just a perception I think they are allowing to be taken too far.

ofcourse not, but ya slim shows a sense of activeness while fat shows a bit of lazyness.

fat ppl can also b beautiful! they too hv all the titles given 4 fat ladies!
