Planning a trip to paris

hello friends,
I am very much excited to visit paris this summer, and i dont know anything about the places to be visited except the most popular museums and the eifel tower. I am planning to take my trip without any guide. I WANT TO EXPLORE MYSELF. Could anyone gimme suggestions of the places that can be visited in France?
