This morning's improv begins when mom is brushing her teeth, and Dearra busts into the room and says, "lies!"
"Mmph?"
"The man who says anything is possible, lied! Have you ever tried to slam a revolving door? You can't do it!"
"Gurgle."
"Are you choking on your toothpaste, mom?"
Toothpaste explosion all over the mirror...
"What are laughing at mom? The revolving door, or choking on your toothpaste?"
"Both." Glare...
Yep, we have live comedy at my house every morning. Except for the occasional days that are pre-empted by "the fights"...

Hi dawn,
Thanks for making laugh with Dearra's saga, it reminds me of my younger days living at home with my brothers and they were always stressing me out over something or another and my Mum used to think most things we say and do were funny, keep the saga going, I love it.

Has she recently tried to slam a revolving door?

our house only gets calm when Zayzay is asleep. no one reigns the comedy and drama when he's up with his Power Rangers movies and everyone should be aware with his kicks, the "hiiiiyah!", his "megazord", his transformation, etc.

Don't suppose there's a video up on YouTube with him doing that?

I hear ya. I sometimes remember the drama we used to have when my grandmother was still home. She never looked good, all ways felt as if every one was looking at her. Now we just get my grandsons mood swings and it makes me wonder what we would be going through if he wasn't on medication. Ah, the drama!

My grandson just through a big fit in the grocery store. He expected his mothing to take back what she was getting and get what he wanted. Can you believe it?! Sometimes it is as if someone else jumped inside his skin. He knows better! And I asked him why he did it. I DON"T KNOW! OMG! He is lucky I wasn't the one who took him to the store.

ha ha....I just envisaged that scenario and couldn't help laughing.
I'm glad 'I' wasn't brushing my teeth when I read your post....or else I would be the one with toothpaste explosion all over my mirror..lol ...though I have to add...it's my husband who is always having an explosion. I wonder why the kids think that the right time for a joke/something funny is when daddy has some liquid in his mouth

I'm glad you're keeping track of the kids' discussions on MyLot. Someday, you may be able to go back and organize the discussions and publish a book...The Things Kids Say...or something more creative. I'm trying to think of the writer/book that I enjoyed so much that was basically about her home life...it was funny. I had to look it up..."The Grass is Always Greener Over the Septic Tank" by Erma Bombeck. You could have a best seller!

I also post the funnier ones over on Multiply as blogs. One of these days I'll print them out and put them in a book....

I would love to have some comedy in the morning. I listen to the news every morning and catch up on Mylot discussions. The news is just depressing. Comedy would be a serious change of pace. Have a good day!!

Sounds like an interesting improv as far as slamming revolving doors, that only way is to slam yourself in one lol..

I think that I will come for a visit. I need a few laughs in the mornings.
Oh. Wait. The twins come end of June/early July and I will get a lot of laughs then. Can hardly believe that they will be five in June. They came to me at 17 months old.
You certailnly have great kids Dawn and they have a great Mom
