I dreamed about my grand mother who already died three years ago.In my dream, my grandma and me together with few relatives going up in the mountain where we used to live when I was still a kid at the age of eight to ten years old.I also saw my mother preparing foods for our meals while we are on top of the mountain. What could be a dream mean to you?Do you think dreams are sign or a warning or mean important message?

i don't usually dream and if i do, i forget it by the time i am awaken. however, when i got sick (very critical and am almost dying) i dreamed that i was saved by a white dog... my sister woke me up as he heard me shouting. that was the first time i dreamt as if it was real.

Dream makes us feel like real is what I mean for sometimes there are imaginations that might mislead us to dream. For me dream is a real like scenario that I can feel the happenings in myself.

to each his own. some thinks that dreams are exactly opposite of what's gonna happen. my friend doesn't like to watch horror movies at night or before going to sleep, he is having a nightmare.

Every dreams has meaning but it is not easy to interpret, only when something happen in real that you be able to associate your dream with what had just happened in your life. You may never know what life holds for you but keep your option open and your dream of going up a mountain indicates something good is in store for you.

I pray you're right my friend "your dream of going up a mountain indicates something good is in store for you". There are so many surprises in everyone's life and so I believe a dream could be a sign or an ability to foresee the possible things.Though it may means nothing for others.

I think that dreams can be a number of things... Dreams can be a subconscious indicator of our health. It can be an indicator of inner turmoil... It can be an indicator of of a secret crush or goal... It can play as a memory, such as yours. I also believe that dreams can be signs, or indications/messages from others and beyond. I started having recurring dreams/nightmares when I was young.. it's been a couple of years since I've had any of those now... Probably since shortly after I met my boyfriend. Maybe a little sooner, maybe a little later. But those nightmares and dreams, although some of them certain to never be real, were telling me things about myself that my mind was just too stupid to see. Then in my late teens, the dreams came... the dreams about people that I barely knew or didn't know at all. They frightened others, when I'd tell them about the dreams or meet them later. Once I dreamt of my friend R's boyfriend. I'd never met him or talked to him... I only knew his nickname, Bic (as in the lighter or ink pen). I had a dream about him. I dreamed he was approx 6ft 2 with dark hair and dark eyes.. often wore a full beard but had recently shaved. In my dream his name was Bill and he was 33 years old. Oh, and in my dream Bic stood for "Bill in California." When I talked to R about it, she was a little disturbed. A couple of weeks later, I had a dream about another one of Rs friends. That she was standing in the kitchen of an 80s, with curly brown hair and wearing a kind of sundress. She was weeping. I told R this dream too... it turns out her friend had filed for a divorce two weeks prior. I didn't have any other real dreams significant like that for a long time.. many years... Until I dated, D. He and I were.. very, very close. He was a contracted worker, and often had to travel. There would go weeks to months at a time when I wouldn't see him. One night I had a dream that D and one of his co-workers got back into town and something was going on. We were being chased or had to leave town.. or something weird like that. When D arrived to scoop me up, he was with his coworker J. They were driving a white station wagon. They had a little white fluffy poodle pup with them. D was wearing a white t-shirt and a white or an eggshell colored hat. D arrived back a few weeks later, except J wasnt with him, instead they'd sent a different co-worker. Most of the time they were in rental cars, but his coworker insisted on driving. It was a beat up white station wagon. And for the first time ever, I saw D wearing a white tshirt and a tan colored hat. I also dreamed once that if I were to have another daughter, her name was to be Landon Mackenzie. Strange for a girl, but anyhoo... Two years later while I was working a retail job, I met a gentleman who had two tattoos. One on each arm. Landon on one, Mackenzie on the other. So, what do our dreams tell us? Everything and more. Our brains just have to wake up and see it.

Well according to my mom your grandmother needs a prayer for her soul. Offer food and prayers to her. As you've said that you are eating together. "PRAYER IS THE FOOD OF THE SOUL". This is based on their old beliefs.

I am sorry to hear about your grand mother, but it's great that you seem to have had a good relationship with her. I'm no dream interpreter ofcourse and I don't know if dreams can be signs or warnings for stuff to happen or be an important message as you say. There are examples of people predicting stuff in dreams or get information they really shouldn't know through dreaming, but it hasn't been proven if it is something special or just coincidence but anyway it is a pretty interesting thought.

Hi. zearah. I am very sorry about your grandmother's passing away. I lost my great grandmother in 2007. And I lost my grandmother in 1999. I know how you are feeling. It is is a sad feeling to feel this way. I think that your grandmother was trying to tell you that she is okay and that she misses being around you. She wanted you to know that she is happy. She loves you dearly. That was her message to you. I think that dreams that are meant to alert you are a sign of some kind of warning. And the dream that is a message could be something positive and insightful.

I shall try to answer your last question. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said that tere are three categories of dreams. They are dreams that 1) Come from the self. This is the most common type. Basically all the dreams in this category can be traced back to our inner self like our desires, memories, and wishes. 2) come from satan. Nightmares usually fall into this category. Another sub-type are dreams meant to mislead us. In this sub-type satan may appear as a pious person, or someone we know. 3) come from God. They are basically dreams which tells us what would happen in the future, and later on the dreams proved to be true. Your dream seems to be in the first category.

The two categories you mentioned can be considered as sub-categories of dreams from the self.

There are two categories: 1.Dreams that are made up by imagination and appear like a movie and can't change it 2.Astral travels that are travels into astral(the unseen world) and that dreams can be controled, but most people woke up when they know they dream.

for me a dream is just a dream. i never connect between dreams and the reality. maybe there is someone who can interprete dreams but i donot believe it. if i dreamed of someone, maybe i miss that person. nice discussion.

For me I can distinctly separate a dream to an imagination. And I guess you mean it as imagination and not a dream.

i have read from books that dreams are some signs. In the day time from photos otherwise from relatives inquiry in the inner mind we have their remembrance but we are not recollecting the memory. when we are taking rest this memory comes out as dreams.it is not a warning or mean of important messages.
