Arsenal crashed out at the hands of Barcelona after the hard work from their previous leg being all undone by Barcelona who were on the forefront for most of the match at least in terms of chances. Robin van Persie got himself sent off not a smart thing to do especially when your still leading on away goals dou you think it was foolish of him to bring about such a case? As he is after all one Arsenals more experienced players and really should have been watching himself after his first yellow . Credit has to go to Barcelona for once again showing the character of one of the greatest teams ever in football. What does this mean for Arsenals premier league ambitions will it suffer with the players heads dipping or will they relish the task in the remaining games?

To be fair to Van Persie the referee was a bit harsh in giving the red card. Ok by the letter of the law maybe he should be booked but as the commentators said it was only one second between the referee blowing his whistle and Van Persie kicking the ball.
Anyway I hope Arsenal win the league but I fear that they won't. They seem like nearly men and not winners. I think it is the Man United's and the Barcelona's of this world that really know how to win.
My bet would still be on Man utd to win the league and it has been for a while now.

If he's broken the rules then it is fair on him as he simply shouldn't have made such stupid decision he knows the rules well enough to know that anything especially in big games can result in a severe punishment. Van Persie maybe only kicked the ball one second after the referee blew the whistle but he also was already on a yellow card which as player you should know is risky so kicking the ball away was an unnecessary risk which ultimately cost him a cheap booking and ending up sent off .
Arsenal have been the nearly men in recent years and although I do see United losing a couple more games before the season ends and will more likely be defeated by Arsenal themselves I still see Arsenal dropping too many points from teams who they should be beating with ease .
