Mum Has Me Buying Strange Stuff Online..

..but this is the strangest! A SAW! Now, when Mum came out with her initial request I told her that if I typed hand saw in Google Search there would be loads of results..so, anyway.. There was a site I clicked on called Tooled-Up.com (get it) and whenever I typed "hand saws" in their search box I got 94 results!! I relayed this information to Mum. I asked her to be a bit more specific as there were "hand saws" and "wood saws." "Wood saw..that's the one I want!" said Mum, excitedly over the phone. We got there in the end but fancy there being 94 results..oh and it's cheaper than Amazon as well. I wanted to buy from a specialist store to be honest so if there's any comeback the people at Tooled-Up.com will have more of an idea than at Amazon. I only hope the saw does the job..i.e. hack my Dad's head off (only joking)!

What in the world would your Mum want with a wood saw? I should have put one of mine on eBay and let you bid on it for your Mum . The shipping would have only been $100, but... That gives me an idea...I have a bunch of tools I bought when I built my house and I haven't used them since. Maybe I'll have a tool sale? Do I really need three sanders? I don't think so... I'm keeping my drill, though!

Haha! Stocking up on tools, I love it! You could at least sell one of your sanders. Mum has one already so no-can-do on that I'm afraid. Sometimes she gets it out if her neighbours annoy her. The other week she was sat outside in the sun (not that warm but she needed the air after working in a hot kitchen) and just as she got settled out came the power washer next door. She said the noise was incredible so she had to go back in. The neighbours do this all the time. It's like they won't allow her to chill out! I really don't know what Mum wants with a wood saw..sawing wood perhaps? Knowing her though, she'll find some other use for it!!

When you mentioned Tooled-Up.com, I thought that the discussion was going to heading down south below the tool belt if you know what I mean!

Wow, it makes you wonder what she wants to do. It is good that she could at least decide which one. I hope she does not forget and get another one. Then she would have a matched set.

Haha! With her being a Gemini I'm amazed she doesn't want two saws lol. She has two of lots of things! She keeps going on about this stump in the ground that has been left after her son and his son, er, messed with the shrub that was overhanging the paved bit of the garden which is the bit she sits when it's hot. I guess the saw will provide the finishing touches to the stump, so to speak, unless she has other plans for it. I dread to think!!!

It's great how we can buy from a rang of items from the internet and don't even have to leave the house.

Yes, that's a major attraction isn't it and it seems sites are getting bigger and bigger with definitely more choice. In fact, I would say that some websites are bigger than their high street equivalent. This has happened -I would say, in the last 3-5 years or so as I go on the internet a lot so I notice these things. In fact, shopping on the high street is a real chore in comparison and I reckon they won't exist in 20 years time.

I was impressed with Tooled-Up.com, I really was. It's huge! The make of the saw is a good one i.e. Stanley as in Stanley knives? I don't know if it's one and the same..probably not, just my brain working overtime!

Haha. I don't think that is too random though. She could have asked you for burrito seasoning, or fish scales etc. :D I've once heard of a story about someone getting into trouble over selling a half full bottle of shampoo- and immediately I started wondering "who buys half a bottle of shampoo???".

Haha! Even my eccentic Mum wouldn't ask for a half bottle of shampoo..well, I don't think so..or maybe she would, who knows what goes on in that head of hers? Whilst she was here a few weekends ago we went shopping and she bought a bottle of Femfresh powder and when I routed around in my bedroom at her house I shouted down, "You know that bottle of Femfresh you bought in Carlisle..well, I've just found 2 more in one of my drawers!" She does this all the time..forgets what she's bought. I am pretty confident she doesn't already have a saw though.

I order soup from online. They don't sell my favorite brand in my area, so I started seaching for where I can get it. DVD players, wheelchair, books.. there just so much that can be found relly cheap. My wheelchair will be here tomorrow so I'll be able to shop and go places that require too much walking for me. I save $100 ordering it online and got free shipping.
