Did any of you see Natalie Portman's movie The Black Swan?

I certainly agree that she won the Oscars Best Actress award because she did a superb job on this film. It was honestly one of the best films I've seen in recent while, along with Inception. I think the plot and characterization were both awesome. I haven't seen that much negative reviews on it and majority of the people whom I talked to seem to like it, no, rave about it!!! What about you? What are your thoughts on Natalie's performance on this film?

I totally agree with you. At first, I was hesitant to watch it because it seemed dull. But I guess first impressions never truly last 'cause after I found out that it was Natalie Portman's latest movie, I became so interested with it. The story line and the characters are really awesome and it's really difficult to find new movies that are so great in all aspects. She's my hero and I love her acting, her wit and her beauty. She's a catch and a total package. Really talented in almost all aspects.

Totally! it seemed like something that would be classified as 'boring'. But it will totally get you hooked once you started watching it. Awesome film! My favorite so far this year :D

Yes, one of the best movies so far.Last year wasn't a great year for cinema, and Black Swan was like a fresh breath to me.Natalie was great and I'm glad they worked together with Aronofsky.I never thought I could like this dark, sexy, depressing drama so much!Perfect job.A movie to remember.

Great way to put it - a movie to remember. It has been over a week since I saw it but I still cannot get over the excitement and awe I felt after watching it! Two thumbs up!

The movie was "OUTSTANDING". It gets into your head right from the start and stays there - for days after. The dynamic and character development between Kunis and Portman (besides being super-hot) is deep and makes the film worth seeing on its own. But Portman - this may be her best effort yet. I rarely forget when I'm watching a famous actor play a role, but in this case I really did. Her transformation is not only convincing, but both disturbing and fun at the same time. That's not an easy combo to imagine, let alone pull off, but she nails it.

I agree. Nice feedback you had there on the movie, but well deserved actually. Natalie did a superb job and the characterization is what really brought the film together!

I would agree with you on this topic. She definitely gave a great performance on this film, and she certainly deserve the title of best actress for this oscar award. I still like the other film "The King's Speech" as the best film better though. I still like natalie portman, because she is such as gorgeous girl.

I haven't seen The King's Speech, but I certainly think this was one of the best films to come out recently. You said it is better, so I might give it a shot. But kudos to Natalie for a great performance here, no doubt.

No, I really don't like her anymore and I was kind of sad she won the Oscars. It seems she is the reason for Sean Penn's divorce, she likes to mess with married guys rumours say. I was such a hudge fan because of how she cares about animals...but I don't admire her anymore. The movie though seems very dark, she even thought she was going to die, yeah right.

Really? yes, the movie is quite dark but I think it works that way because that is how the movie is supposed to be. Well, that is your own opinion and I respect that :)

I think she did a bang up job. She totally deserved that osacr. It was a little weird, but like some films it takes a few viewings to pick up things we didn't see before to help us better understand the story.

Me too! I agree that she deserved the Oscar award for Best Actress. I think she really portrayed the role of Nina flawlessly and no one could have delivered that as well as her.

I've yet to see it but I'm really getting to the point where I can't wait to do so because everyone who has seen has raved about, as you said. Don't tell me too much, but I've heard it's a bit "scary" or disturbing at the end; is that true? Anyway, I've always liked Natalie Portman a lot so I try to watch all of her movies eventually. I think it might still be playing at the theaters in my area so I might get to go see it yet rather than having to wait for the DVD. Annie

I unfortunately havent seen the movie but I just saw a preview of it the other day and really would love to see it. Any time I see anything that has ballet in it I'm hooked and this looks like it has a really good plot as well. Hopefully I will get to see it one of these days.

Me too. I want to watch it a second time. The first time, it tends to overwhelm you. Maybe when you watch it a second time, then maybe you can enjoy it more :)
