I live in eastern Canada and blue jays are plentiful. The picture I am posting is taken from my living room window....but the way he is looking at me....he's not happy. LOL I think these are the most beautiful shades of blues. Do you have blue jays where yo live?

I didn't realize that....I thought they were pretty much a northern bird....maybe make it down as far as the new England states.

I live in the city so I haven't seen too many birds. Except of course for the crows which seem to be everywhere.
I think the reason your bluejay isn't happy is that the baseball team that he is named for is in a tough division which includes the New York Yankees, and the Boston Red Sox.

To be honest outside of pictures and TV I have never seen a real live Blue Jay. The picture you share is so pretty, but like GG says the ones in pictures that I have seen have had crests on them.

Yes, we have blue jays and they are noisy guys. They do stay around even when many other birds leave. I have beautiful feathers and I have heard that it is good luck to find one of their feathers in your garden.

the only bluejays I've seen recently are the ones in Toronto that play baseball. Too bad they lost! LOL As for the ones that fly, I see one now and then, but not that often. I live right in the middle of a semi-large city, so the birds tend to stay on the outskirtws, and in the parks, or where there are bird feeders.

Yes, we have bluejays here, and I don't think I've ever seen one that didn't look "not happy". They make a lot of noise, too.
But I agree that they are a pretty shade of blue.

hi Nadinest I live in Southern California now and I don't think I have
ever seen a blue jay here. I have seen them in colder states though like
Colorado and Montana. they have the most gorgeous shade of blue and often wished I could find a tee shirt in that shade. I dont remember
seeing blue jays in South Dakota but we had blue birds there.

We do have blue jays here. But we also have blue birds. When I lived in Lousiana we had lots of blue birds but here we don't have as many of those. But the blue jays are plentiful. I haven't seen any this season yet though.
