Yes. we have a dog and i am trying my best to be friendly with her, yes its a her, we called her Candice ( from the cartoon show phineas and ferb ) Anyways, it is my hubby's dog actually. When we transferred house, his brother gave him a dog and it is still 2 month old. It is a Japanese SPitz. I am having a hard time because since it is still a baby it tends to bite a lot, i know it is friendly biting but i am not accustomed to it. i am scared it might bite me how do i handle it? i mean it always jumps up and down, and runs after me! i am scared yes yeah i am a sissy on dogs.. but how do i tame it? dog lovers can you teach me? i don't wanna hurt him.. but he is too much!!

Hello Jazel_juan,
Your dog doesn't want to hurt you. Candice is only a puppy, all she wants is to play.
The more you run, the more she will hunt you, as she thinks it is a kind of game you like to play and her pray instincts are also telling her to follow the mooving targets.
At this age every dog likes to chew on things and (the worse!) on people's hands and feet. She will pass over this puppy phase in a few months but until then you have to be patient and, the most important, consistent!
Whenever she grabs your hand, cry an "Auch!" in high voice and leave her. Leave the room if you need to. She will soon understand that if she bites, the play time is over.
Make sure she has plenty of toys to chew on, instead of your hands.

I see. well i am still avoiding her as much as possible but it is hard to escape from Candice when i arrive home because she will be at the door waiting for us hahaha.. she tend to be so overjoyed that she jumps up and down and can now even go up the stairs into our room!

But who said you should avoid her? She needs to interact with people. She won't learn how to behave around you if you don't play with her and if you don't train her the desired behavior. She's like a child now, she needs attention and if you don't provide it, who else?
Maybe I didn't explain well enough. Let me try again:
Whenever she grabs your hand, cry an "Auch!" in high voice and leave her. Leave the room if you need to. Come back after a few minutes and start playing again. If she bites you again, you start it all again: "Auch!", leave the room, come back after a few minutes, and so on. She will soon understand that if she bites, the play time is over.

Jaz! My dog is a male, and I've been searching for a mate for a long time. do you want to have a "date"? hehe.
lol, You never were a dog-person. Or any animal for that matter. I remember you always hold me when we pass a dog on the street. hehe. Dogs can be difficult and time consuming to train. But over time, you'll both get accustomed to it. Yes, including yourself. My dog is very feisty. He's a terrier by the way. He would bark and run after everything. Cats, rats, frogs, gecko, people... lol! But that's the nature of terriers. You're lucky you have a japanese spitz. They're calmer when they mature.

I posted pics of Dookie (my dog) on my facebook. Coincidentally, my brother is asking for pics of him. hehe.
Heck, I'll just post one here then. lol.
Yes, fixed marriage. I think that's acceptable for dogs right?

WOOHH i love Phineas and Ferb and that is a real nice name for a dog lol anyway I don't know what advises to give you coz i don't own any pets. I used to have a dog when i was a kid and i loved it a lot but don't really know what happened to it. After that I never had pets and I am kinda scared of animals these days. Anyway my dog could do lots of tricks annd could swim and stuffs but I don't really know how it learned it or maybe I didn't care coz i was too little

Give your doggy something to eat and when you find it engaged in eating you can easily get it.Dogs can be controlled by this trick . Try it. It will work..

just give him lots of toys he can chew on adn when he does bite tap him on the nos and say "NO" as this is normal puppy behavior but if he gets away with it he will keep doing it when he gets older

the best thing with a new puppy is to be firm even if he learns how to give the cute puppy eyes be firm and make sure he knows you are the boss he will catch on quickly and follow your lead

Yes when the dog is still a baby, he tends to chew a lot and wants to bite on things (teething). That's part of its growing up. Just keep away the important things and give him safe toys to chew on. Keep him vaccinated regularly and give him regular exercise. My dog is part Spitz so I had the same experience.
