Guys, I have heard that one of the best ways (easy traffic) to market is through social media. Can you please spell out to me how this works. Thanks.

If you have a website or blog it is recommended to create at least a Facebook and a Twitter account for promotional purposes and update regularly as you write new content or have some fresh news about your site.
Is is also very important to include a social bookmarking widget to your site, especially if it has a dynamic content. Sites like Digg can get you awesome traffic spikes if users like your articles.

As I can see, your site is running on WordPress. You just need to install one of the several contributed WordPress plugins that are available for free.
Just search on the http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ page for "social bookmarking" or "digg" and you will find these plugins.
