I just recently saw an opportunity to send my name to Mars. It looked a bit strange and I wondered what will be the sense of entering my name so that I could go to Mars?
Would you give your name to go to Mars?
Will this is going to make any sense to you?
People from allover the world are participating in this and entering their names.
What could be the possible reason behind this compulsion of people? Why do we would like to have our name reach Mars?
The link where you can enter your name is provided by NASA for its upcoming tour of the planet. Below link give more information:

Having your name inscribed on a microchip ? Will somebody be able to read this microchip in 30 years ? I cannot read 8" disks today, and will not be able to read a 3"1/4 soon.
However, I found this funny, but I hesitated, because we have a French proverb saying that "the name of the donkeys is written everywhere". As you gave the link I sent the name of somebody else to be famous on Mars.

I don't think I would give my name to go to Mars. I got to many things going on earth to worry about going to other planets. Earth is good enough for me. I don't need to see other planets that close up. I watch about the planets on Nasa tv station or watch the news. Why would people really take the time out of their schedule just to visit another planet?

Absolutely correct. There is no need to think even about going to Mars when we have other important things in life. We have great family, good job, expanding business, great college life, etc. Actually it depends on interest and priorities of life.
Some people are crazy about space and universe. It is for those who have passion for universe. They would do anything to know about space. They just imagine and dream about going to Mars.
Others are just inquisitive and for fun they can pay attention to it.
Without interest we cannot follow any action.
I appreciate your true response. Thank you, have a great day.

Hi narendra, do you trust this? I heard it long back that people who entered their names(to go to MARS) will be taken there as the population on EARTH is increasing, but i know that it is fake, so i didn't bother about that site, so finally did you enter your name in that site?

This time they are just asking for our names to be taken to there in absolutely non-existing way, but yes in some existence our name will be there.
What you thought when you first saw the link or even the topic of discussion? Did you send your name?

Inquisitiveness is human nature.
Don't forget to inform me when you have an agency there. I would like to spend some family vacations there in future. LOL!

Well,I suppose I will never have the chance to travel to the outer space, but at least my name will be there,so I will be on Mars at least symbolically.Anyway, thanks for sharing this link,I had no idea about this mission, but now that I've registered and I'm sure that my name will be there,I can go back to the daily miserable life on Earth.I suppose the day will come when a voyage to Mars will become a routine, but there's still plenty of time until then.

Time has power. There was a time when air travel was a dream. There was a time when internet was a fantasy. Time has immense power and there is no doubt in what you have said. Voyage to Mars will become routine. No doubt. They are searching this possibility and they have some positive results too.

That is really awesome. I always felt kinda jipped that I grew up in the age where we still have not achieved interplanetary travel. Would love to explore other planets.

This is so interesting. I am very interested in the out space. I am glad that I can be able to send my name to Mars. Even if it seems it has no more meaning. But at least it is a kind of my dream. At least my name can land to Mars for me:) I also send my husband and son's names to Mars:) I also noticed that right now there are 8514 Chinese joined it.
I love China

Did you notice how many people have send their names to Mars? Isn't it great that we have our names send there. It gives a feeling of uniqueness as we have done this. Did you get the certificate. I really liked that.

I understand that scientist have not proved the existence of aliens. I also do not believe that there are aliens. So you like the idea of sending names to Mars. It is just an act of minute participation I think.

Interesting and because my name is incorrectly spelled sometimes I do think it came from Mars. lol
But truly it does sound fascinating and it does amaze me what people today reach out and try. If I could and or would be selected I would feel honored.

It is so different type of program that anyone would like to take part in it. I hope you have saved your certificate. At present they are only asking for name to be taken there. Technology is advancing with speed of light. The day is not very far when scientist will start designing human colonies on Mars. Or they have discovered or invented a way to bring resources from Mars to Earth in an economic way. Mars is full of resources. We can use metals, hydrogen etc.

Interesting, Right?
I also found it very fascinating and unique so I decided to share it with my friend myLotters. Don't you think that it will bring some awareness about NASA programs and missions? I think campaigns like this give other people an opportunity to take part in NASA's missions like this.

The next probe they are sending to Mars will have a microchip containing all these names.
Probes are computer machines with legs and wheels and many many cameras. They investigate and record the planet.
What you did? Did you give your name?
welcome to myLot. You will enjoy here a lot. Please do read the FAQs and guidelines:
