I'm always looking for new places to travel to, and maybe this will help other people find some place they would like to go. So, try to explain what your most interesting place is and why it's your favorite.
Mine would be the White Mountains in New Hampshire. I found it one time when I was taking a trip to Canada. I came across a scenic highway, where huge mountains where on both sides of this small highway. It was amazing to see that. I was trying to take pictures while I was driving but it wasn't a good idea. I starting seeing pull offs, which where short hiking trails that would go out to a waterfall or an overlook. It was so nice to be out in the nature without many people around you, hearing all kinds of different sound that you normally don't hear in cities.
When I came into some of the small towns in the White Mountains, the people were old fashioned, friendly, and always ready to help you. They would tell me where different things to do around in the areas were. I went on many hikes, found a mine where I was able to dig out minerals like fluoride, rose quarts, amethyst, plus many more. I decided to not go to Canada and stayed a week right in the White Mountains. Now that I have been there I keep trying to go back at least once every year. Every time I go I always find something new there to do. It's a great place to go and relax and enjoy your time.

i advise you to visit tibet in the west of china. there is continuous grand mountain covered with snow the whole year. there has the best and highest mountain in the world. The train is the best way for trip i think. You might have never been enjoying the highest and the most exciting train trip in the world. It's really excited. I went there last year. i think i would go there again. When you travel to tibet, be sure to go to lhasa, you could see the mystery of buddhism in tibet and you can experience the hollowness of altiplano. Maybe you have a chance to climb the highest mountain in the world, the himalayas.

That would be a great place to go. I have always wanted to learn about buddhism and why not right in Tibet. I will keep all the places you mentioned in my mind. Maybe I could go when I'm around thirty years old. It would be a good place to go. Thank you for your information.

I love to travel, even just taking a roadtrip with just me and my dog. I usually get away once or twice a year. I usually end up going to Virginia Beach, I love that area and my oldest daughter lives there. We have a blast just relaxing at the beach/ocean front. I also moved from Texas to Pennsylvania for 4 years. In that time, I took several day trips. One of the most memorable was a train ride during the peak of the fall foliage. It was beautiful, we ended at a small town, Jim Thorpe, which is very quaint, has two blocks of little shops of all kinds. You get off the train, cross the street and you are there, it is all walking, but it is great. The other trip that was great was on a Harley, from Pennsylvania to Tennessee, stayed in a cabin in the Smokey Mountains. It was great, seeing Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg areas.

I have heard Virginia Beach is really nice. I love the ocean and finding shells to make jewelry. I am planning a trip for the first time to Maine's coastline to see what it's like there. I am going to have to check out the train ride you talked about. We only have one train near me that travels about 20 miles, but there is nothing to do but just ride it. You don't go near any stores or even any scenic areas. It would be nice to find one that is a good ride plus something to do. I also was planning a trip at one point to go on the Blue Ridge Parkway that goes through a couple states and I remember it went through the Smokey Mountains. Never was able to go but maybe someday. Thank you for sharing your travels.

What is it like there? What kind of things are there to do?
I would have to save up a lot of money to get over there. I may look into it and see what it's like in Bali. Thank you, and hope to hear back from you.
