Redecorating when seasons change......

I just re-decorated my home office/scrapbooking room. Spring is on the way and I like to re-do with bright colors, an airy feel, and more of a spring/summer theme to my home. I changed out the curtains to sheers, and added little splashes of color on shelves, my table, etc. I will be doing the same in my bedroom, living room and bath. I usually have heavier curtains up during the fall/winter months, not necessarily dark colors, but more of earth tones and maroons. Do you redecorate with the seasons, or do you leave it the same year around?

I've never thought of doing this before. I leave my house the same year-round. In fact my house isn't even done being decorating orginially (we've only lived here for 3 years!) but maye if I had a llot of extra time I would do that. As it is right now I don't even decorate for the holidays. IT was big news at our place this year that we got out our mini- Christmas tree during the Christmas season. Perhaps changing things and getting ready for spring would help me get over my winter blahs!

It does help, seems there is that 'between' time, between holidays and winter weather and spring arriving. I love changing things around, even if it's just rearranging the furniture, adding a few new throw pillows in bright colors, it doesn't have to be extravagant

hello,
I do not redecorate my home every season.
But i do change curtains and some re-arrangement of home displays every now and then.
Besides,my country is a tropical one,and mosts of the time it's always sunny the whole year round,so i keep light colored motiff at home and curtains as well.
have a great day

I would keep light and airy theme too, if it was always nice and sunny, but I do like re-decorating or even re-arranging furniture for a fresh look.
