myLot Reputation Question

How come my myLot reputation rating keeps going up, when I continually post more and more quality content every day? Instead of posting small paragraphs like this one, I normally write out larger, more detailed answers. My star rating dropped from 7 to 2 in one day, and my ranking went from 1200 to 10,100 over a period of 3 days. What's up with that? How does this happen? I am working harder and harder every day, but I am losing while doing it.
