Repent what? The state of the world is really rather good today if you make the comparison with the way it has been in the past. Wars are localized compared to the periods of the Napoleonic Wars, World War I and II. Every year sees thousands of earthquakes with no increase. Climate change, La Nina and El Nino, nothing new there. End of the world? Don't hold your breath. It's just business as usual.

Well it looks like Matthew 24 is being fulfilled and may I quote verses 1 to 8:
"1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows. "

Indeed we should examine ourselves. This is a sinful world and everyone has sinned in one way or another. Now is the time to confess, now is the time to accept Jesus. Now is the day of salvation. Tomorrow may be too late!

http://relijournal.com/christianity/how-to-survive-the-end-of-the-world/ is a very helpful article on how to survive the end of the world. I find it very timely now that signs of the end are already multiplying and I want to share this to you.

You're right; there are many, many signs that we're running out of time. Not just earthquakes and climate change, but the threat of global food shortages, pestilences caused by our food producing system (I dare not call it farming), mental and physical diseases caused by the poisons and pollutions we continually pour into our environment. We cannot continue on this course.

Hmmm, what do you think? I mean you said there are many earthquakes, wars, and though you didn't say it, isn't there a lot more pestilence? I think there is and yes I believe time is running out, unfortunately not many are going to listen for the reason that the church has gone off the deep end..Today a church is nothing more than a glorified social club, they don't even observe the commandments and say that's okay because we have grace. What abut those who did this or that in His name and yet He spits them out. Who do we minister to? The lost or the fallen church?

I think you really hit the nail on the head. Most will not listen. They believe that by going to this glorified social club you speak of, every Sunday morning, that they are "all right." Who do we minister to? Anyone who will listen, within or without the church.

I still don't want to wish for the worst. You are right, in these times of distress, tragedies and calamities all over the world, it is really a high time that we show our faith and go back to God and ask for His forgiveness and ask Him to save the world.
