There are many religions all around the world and even if, there are thousand of religions all over the world, I believe that all of us lead into one God, which is our universal God. Whether you are hinduism, buddhism, christians, muslim and so on, all of us lead into one God, which is our universal God even if we have this different religion on earth. If there is an universal God, why do some religions debate to each other? --- and they say that, it's written in the bible that they should defend their faith. In fact, we could still be united as one to have peace and have harmonious relationship to each other even if we have this different religions here on earth. Do you agree that we have this universal God here on earth or you really do not believe that there's indeed an universal God, instead you believe that we have this true God in each religion and that would say, a true religion?

Yeah. There is only one God and even if there is only one God, I would still say that it is an universal God. It means even if we have different religions all over the world, we still have an universal God. It has still one God.

Dear friend, It is scientifically proven that millions of year back present form of human came from just a small bacteria. Again going back millions and millions years back earth was considered a part of sun with lot of hot....but again we go back millions and millions years back we human have not found how it happen...who created the sun, universe so on....I feel all is created by someone or something...humans named it God. Formed many groups on the name of God....and fought in the name of God. Once I had chance to go to Himalaya, where I saw munis or saniyasinis (Saints) in meditation. As it is know their soul (Athma) is wandering away from their body to other places to other universes...I wondered how it could happend...but I saw their body being their for months without food or water. Universal God...but who created this Universe????

This is from The NKJV bible. When the Apostle Paul was in Athens and here is what was said there Act 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. Act 17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. Act 17:18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection. Act 17:19 And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is? Act 17:20 For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean. Act 17:21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.) Act 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. Act 17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. so your question is not a new one but one that arises through out our history. I do believe there is one ultimate God over all beliefs, religions, creeds no matter what or who else they acknowledge as a god, there is one ultimate supreme being over us all. I thinkk Acts 17:23 above covers it well.

Religion is man's attempt to understand the universal God. Pity, that more of them don't stop long enough to listen to HIM as He describes Himself, rather they trust in their minds to know what and who HE is. Man cannot know GOD unless GOD reveals Himself to them. But in our pride we think we can 'find' Him.

I believe that there is only and can only be one supreme power. That power or supreme being I know as God, or The Lord. I have found that by having faith in just the One God, I have experienced alot of blessings through him in the course of my life. I will stick to the worshipping of the One True God, since it has worked extremely well for me, and he leads me to the Truth every time. He also takes away stress for me, gives me wisdom, understanding and a general feeling of being loved. If this is what a Universal God means, then I DO BELIEVE!

Well, many religions and many people believe that there is one God, but who and what this God is like remains a mystery. Some people even believe that God is masculine, but God might not have any gender preference at all, God just is. Of course, that is what I wonder as well, if there is one true God, then why are there so many different religions. I guess that there isn't a one true God if that is the case. God could just be a figment of human imagination. People will claim to see God because they need to hold on to the belief that there is something more that themselves there, when in fact, they might not be seeing God, but something they have created, and they are calling God because they need a stable being in their life. Buddhists, Hindus, and Wiccans and even Agnostics and Atheists would tell you that you need to have belief in yourself and your own abilities and not to rely on a higher being to help you because you have to believe for yourself that you can do what you need to do. If there is the possibility that there is no God, then you need to just believe in yourself and what you can do.

In Hinduism there are multiple gods, in Buddhism no god and in Animism again a multiplicity of gods. There is no universal concept of a god or gods. Even within the Abrahamic religions everyone's concept of a god varies from individual to individual.

Hi Introvertshy, There is indeed truth in all religions and if everyone could see that truth, there would be no disagreements between religions. We are here to live this life and live together in peace, eliminating all hunger, homelessness and all the other evils of the world. God does not want our worship but rather to see us live the truth. Blessings.

Did you know??? God doesn't belong to any religion. Religion is mankind's attempt to understand God. No religion understands God today, however they all carry a view of God. If they would give up trying to be right and come together, they would get a much clearer picture of what God is really all about. Let the interaction between them all continue. They will come together in time, only, there is a long way to go. For many, this is no problem. Perhaps, it is the beginning.
