No this has never happened to me before. If one of my employer's had ever laid their hands on me I would file a lawsuit so fast their teeth would fall out. I did often argue with one of my employer's however. But I gave just as much as I got. I ran the company for him while he tooled around town doing what ever he wanted to when it come time to speak my mind about anything I did & he did the same way. People say we acted like we were married but I would rather be single the rest of my life than married to him. LOL!

I have never been hit or slaped by a supervisor. It would be illegale if they would do that here in the states. It is not professional and neihter is is ethical.

Boss slapping his employee pretty much shows that he isn't perfect coz he could have fired him than to raise his hand which is quiet lame. One who stands the stupidity of folks would certainly be a better person.Great day.

In our office such an act could get you fired from the company. It so unprofessional to slap an employee, even if he grossly misbehaved. You can report him to HR so they will give the corresponding action, according to the Code of Ethics of the Company.

If a boss lost control and slapped somebody, that's an assault charge. They are not entitled to do that as a superior. At Least, there should be disciplinary proceedings taken against the Manager in this case.

That is so rude. Isn't there any law that prohibits such actions? I think that it's very unprofessional to think that a lot of you might have witnessed this incident. I think your colleague needs to do some proper actions. He/she might have done a wrong job or might not have made the task well as expected, still he/she doesn't deserve to be treated that way.
