Event: Earth hour
Time: 8.30pm, Saturday, 26 March, 2011
Global warming is accelerating towards us faster than anyone has ever imagined. How can we change the earth just by offing all the lights for 60 minutes. Will you, as a small fraction of the population of the world, do your part? How do you think by doing such a small work can make any differences?

My sixth form is partaking in this, run my the Environment Committee. We're holding assemblies about the importance of it and how much energy can be saved if everyone turned their lights off for an hour. I think it's a really good idea, we need to do something to try and make a difference.

Yea, most importantly, everyone must do their part in saving this world and prevent global warming. As you know, if you're not the solution to it, then you're the cause of it.

That small act can bring a change of global proportion. We need every little act of kindness to save our Mother Earth. The Japan quake was strong proof that the waters deep down are reacting....

I agree with you. Like the saying "United we stand, divided we fall", we need every help we can get. I hope that the Japan quake will be able to pull us together in saving the world and not damaging it.
