I received an email saying that I am a beneficiary of $800,000.00 coming from the Republic of Benin.
It was stated there that "We(Western Union Money Transfer) got a report that your name is on the list of those their fund was return back to Benin due to long staying in custom custody and other security agency due to your inability to meet up with their high demands,we are instructed by the Federal Ministry of Finance Benin to transfer your fund to you via our service so you will be receiving $5,000 daily until it complete the correct amount"
They said that all I need to do is to secure an International Remittance Form, if not to make things easier they will assign an agent. I would need to send $150 for the form thru Western Union.
Here is the info they provided:
Receiver Name:UDALOR FESTUS
Country:BENIN REPUBLIC
TEST:In God
Answer:We Trust
Amount:$150.00
Well, the email might fool you at first because they are using the logo and correct website of Western Union.
After a few minutes of research, you will see the word "SCAM" all over your search engine.
It would be nice to have $800,000.00 ,even if its only inside my email. haha.

I have also received countless emails already from these scammers. I never gave one a try and will always doubt it. I guess they should create better security so that our accounts wouldn't be penetrated by these mails. I don't know how many have fallen for this but I'm sure that they all regretted falling into it.
Have a nice day.

It's spelled P-H-I-S-H-I-N-G.
Benin?!! That little country in Africa? Hahahahahaha. Oh suuuure.
I never even see this crap much less open it, since it is automatically filtered to my Junk folder.

I too would have a gigantic smile also, but only for a second or so because I would always be leary about receiving lump sums of money unexpectedly.
I actually did get two live checks mailed to me with beautiful common bank logos on them. One which happens to be my own bank. I walked it over to my bank to the scam/fraud department because my first thought was that someone will be scammed.
Whether they catch them I guess I will never know, but I do know that the scammers are on the rise and are coming up with the most lucrative scams every single day.
Really sad for those affected by it.

When you get any sort of email like this, if there's a link in it, just hover over it. 99% of the time, it has a website that is not legit, not what it claims to be.
I've seen several of these over the years, I get UPS, DHL parcel emails all the time. I just ignore them.
Whatever you do, never respond to them. Most of the time, the email comes through as undisclosed recipients, and this means that they're hunting for email addresses for spam.
Never fall for these emails, you don't want to risk losing anything to the scammers, including your identity. It's not worth it.

There are many types of scam that are spreading across the Internet. They are custom scams, romance scams, parcel scams, blog selling scams, lottery scams and also inheritance scams.
Beware and if anything that sounds too good to be true, they probably are.
Cheers.
