srilanka thrashed zimbabwe by 139 runs in pool a match.
t.dilshan and u.tharanga were the centurions as the hosts made a mammath total of 327 zimbabwe made a solid reply ti lankan total by putting over 100 runs stand but they collapsed .dishan took 4 wickets to wrap the innings

Another one sided match of a big team vs. a minnow team. But this was a bit of a curious match. Both teams got off to a flier of a start with both set of openers playing really well. The difference though was that the Sri Lankan openers went on to score centuries while the Zimbabwe openers could not fully capitalize on their start. Then Murali and Dilshan triggered a collapse to finish off the challenge.

ya murali and dilshan played really well to enforce a win under the srilankan belt.dilshan was the star in that match scoring 144 and taking 4 wicket and was also involved in a partnership of 282 runs with tharanga and with the help of that win srilankans are on the top ofvtheir group

Sri Lanka played like real champions yesterday and finished the match in clinical style. Zimbabwe can not be considered as minnows. They started well by putting on 116 runs for the first wicket in just 19.5 overs. They were on course to victory until 150 for three in 27 overs But the target was too stiff and keeping the same tempo was difficult for the side suffering from exodus of good players due to political problem at home. Zimbabwe has done no harm for their reputation by loosing the match yesterday. I feel they are going to improve from here.
