Not sure about vitamins....but taking folic acid atleast 3 months before you plan to get pregnant is good for the baby. Folic acid is prescribed during pregnancy too. I'm not sure about any pills that would make one more fertile though I've heard about some vegetables that would make women fertile....I don't believe in those either.

I only think this would be true if you had a vitamin deficiency. You would know that by a blood test. It is good to be taking enough folic acid before you get pregnant, and it is good for the male partner to be taking enough folic acid as well. It has definitely been proven that having enough of this B vitamin prevents neural tube birth defects like spina bifida. There are also indications that it may help prevent Downs Syndrome. You do not have to take prenatal vitamins to get enough folic acid, though. Many foods have been enriched with it, and even regular multivitamins have the suggested 400 mcg.

Prenatal vitamins help the baby to not get birth defects. I am not physician so my thinking is no because they do not serve in increasing fertilization. That in my opinion is a total different area and or supplement.
