For the last four days or so, my fingers have been typing oddly. I try to say other & they type otther. I try to say they & they type tthey. I can't even seem to spell my own name correct. It takes me forever to proof what I have typed as the spellings are close enough that my brain doesn't recognize the error. I turn on my spell check & my eyes refuse to notice the little red underlines!!! Do you ever have times like this & what do you do to fix the problem??? I don't care that my fingers are drunk, but they REFUSE to share with me!!!

Sometimes I have this problem, but it's nothing compared to my touchpad problem, if I accidentally touch it, it just randomly makes me ruin my sentences. Oh, back to you...If you have never had this problem before then it could be caused by your nerves, try to relax, think positive and calm yourself down, and see if the result improves. Hope your fingers get well soon, have a good day.

I can't say that it's never happened before!!! It's just that before it was a temporary thing & more like a simple mistake. After 4 days, this is getting irritating!!!!

......since your fingers are drunk ....they could end up with a hangover :)....to cure the hangover let your fingers drink strong black coffee..:)

I wish I could blame it on my computer!!! It might be that my keyboard is just getting old & worn out. God knows I've put a few million keystrokes on it since joining myLot!!! I've taken a break from my computer & in coming back, things seems to be better!!! PLUS, I've hidden the Vodka bottle!!!!

I've had some problems with my fingers lately, too. I know I'm making the mistake as soon as it is typed but I can't seem to make my fingers behave! Maybe it's something to do with getting older.

If I knew it when I was doing it, it wouldn't be such a problem!!! To add to the frustration, I have been reading the word as the correct spelling as with just a double letter, it doesn't stand out in my brain!!! You know...you could have gone all day without reminding me I'm getting older!!!!

I most certainly empathize with you. I do not seem able to think, type and spell these days. When I type on my iPod screen matters only get worse. My fat fingers and the small keys are not compatible at all. Add predictive text into the mix and you have a recipe for gobbledygook!!

I've had to turn off the "auto spell correct" feature on my phone. I use a lot of slang words & if you're the lucky recipient, there's NO telling what the message might say after my phone has corrected my wording!!! Then I get a WHATTTT??? response & I can't remember what it was that I had said because what I sent NO where near resembled what I was trying to say!!!.

Maybe you need to rest them for a while. I've had this before although it's with a mouse. I get this subtle shrug whenever I'm painting something using a mouse. It's frustrating to say the least.

Very frustrating isn't it??? Funny thing is that I've been typing less this week than in any previous weeks!!!!

Since the errors all seem to be double letters, maybe reset the typing speed for the keyboard? (In the control panel.)

Hadn't thought about that one!!! I've been using this keyboard for the last 18 months or so & I haven't adjusted the speed before, so I wonder what changed it now???
