The Arabs are clamoring for democracy...

The Middle East is in turmoil! The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is hanging by a thin thread right now, doing its best to pacify its people, still maintaining their creed that the common mass is subject to the will of a king! But the world had changed so drastically. The internet had connected and made friends all races. Freedom and human rights which America has preached for the last two hundred and thirty years, had been the most ideal for a human person to exist happily. Democracy had been maligned in every possible way, foremost by terrorism that held the world hostage. And the word jihad had gripped us senseless... But now, the Arabs couldn't be contained. They want to be heard, too, that probably they do not adhere to this jihad thing... What do you think? Is the world about to see a new world? Are we about to see the real Arabian knights?

The Arabs want what other countries have, freedom and democracy, and that is not a bad thing. They should fight for it as much as they can to get democracy in their countries.

It is good for the civilization in the middle east to learn democracy which an evolving for the committee or nation to growth advance , I guess the people are not happy in the current government situation and hence revolt against government , if they are happy in response first place they will not start a civil war however they have no place to complain and they voice are mothers and the bad feeling accumulate and finallynjuat need a spark to explode

saudis need to be free of those wahhabi fanatics who deny women even the most basic rights.however, things shouldnt have to go out of control.arabs can engage in civil war after the dictators have left.remember iraq and somalia.

Jihad means struggle everything else is a misconception. It is part of the Islamic religion. Holy war is a wrong translation of Jihad.

Hello Eileen, I am not sure if the consequences would be nice to them as Democracy can show how chaotic can be. it's hard to believe though that a countries with Islamic Religion as majority tends to asked and protest for their freedom of expression. you've always thought that Middle east will be the next power climber but now you see this. there will be violations as things happens.

Hi Eileenleyva. Good discussion. We all need to watch the current events. It says in the bible that these things will begin to happen just before the anti christ comes here to get all that will follow him. But it isn't the wars and rumors wars we have to worry about when they start claiming peace everywhere is when the anti christ will come claiming to be the christ. And for those that don't know this when the true Christ appears they will be praying that mountians fall on them. For they know they have been worshiping the false christ instead of the True Christ.

I sure hope it works out for them. I hope the jihadists and islamic extremists don't come to power in any of these struggling nations, one dictatorship to another..

Hmmmmmmm. It's an interesting question Eileen, and something that I'm watching with a keen eye. Granted, the Middle East certainly IS in turmoil, however, it's a small part of a much bigger and broader picture. The entire world is headed for change.....one way or another. It has to happen. Personally, I think the term "democracy" is a misnomer. It doesn't really exist except in the minds of those who want to believe in "it". I don't know for how long you've been paying attention to these things or if it's simply unavoidable to heed, now, with all that's going on. Myself.....I've been watching events unfold for the past 10 years or so and have been learning that they've been heading down the same path for a century or more. Humanity has reached a point that things HAVE to change. No way around it. The question is: Who is going to win? On one side are those that control. On the other, those being controlled. It's not just a money thing, although everything comes down to money in the end. It's the control of the resources: oil, food, water, precious minerals & metals (to a lesser degree) and lastly, livelihood. If you'd like to know a bit more about what I'm referring to, try to find a copy of the documentary "The Obama Deception". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1558865/ It's low budget. A bit gratuitous on the part of the creators. However, it gives an interesting perspective of how all the pieces fit together in the global scheme of things. It's not just about the turmoil in the Middle East. It's not about OPEC controlling the price of oil. It's not about upheaval in several African nations. It really isn't "terrorism" that has held the world hostage. It's a select, extremely "ELITE" group that pull the strings, effectively creating "terrorist" situations or more simply, instilling the fear of the very word itself into people's psyches. Do some more research if it's truly a topic that interests you. There are a plethora of hypotheses and speculations about what's ahead. Education is power and we are in times where to be educated will mean to be prepared. There are no "real Arabian knights".....unless they are already one of those on the controlling board of the new world order that's about to be unveiled. If I were an Arab, I seriously doubt I'd be "clamoring for democracy" as your title states. There's no such thing. Instead, I'd be securing my family, future, means of getting basic necessities, shoring up my house for imminent attacks (in whatever form they will come) and praying to whatever deity I believe in to give me the strength and intellect to survive the coming onslaught. Just my thoughts on the subject....
