May be I do like to have one but with all security measures. Last week my relative’s child fell in the swimming pool that was near to his house. Unfortunately the 6 yeas old child does not know how to swim and was struggling to get of the pool and was drowning. Just then servant who was cleaning the stairs saw this and screamed for help. Later, the child was taken to hospital and now is in normal condition. I feel swimming pool is nice but it would be better that all people in the home would have known to swim. Moreover it is to be kept neat and clean.

i rally like water and swimming lately i've heard more and more of this news. When i was a child my father would not let me near the swimming pool without him , safety majors are very important in this type of cases.

Most swimming pools have a warning saying that children are not allowed without adult supervision. We have a swimming pool within the apartment complex. My 4 year old is never allowed near the pool alone and most parents keep an eye on the children when they are running around the pool while playing. Most of us refrain kids (our own or those of others) from running and playing around the pool. My son is allowed in the swimming pool only when I am along with him and try to restrict him to the shallow end unless I am the one taking him to the deep end. My 10 year old is allowed to go swimming alone but that is only because I can see the swimming pool from our window. There is atleast one security guard in the area. A few months back, a 5 year old fell into the pool while he was playing near it and something fell in....he tried to get it out of the pool. His mother sends him down to play alone. The security guard managed to pull him out on time. Our swimming pool is maintained regularly.

Hello Sham, Swimming pool is good and at the same time it is risky if small kids are around. It will be better to make fences around the pool or some other security measurements. Pools are common in our place, many houses own their own pool but it may not be a swimming pool, but it is using for irrigation purpose and many other things. Swimming pool is considered as a luxury, isn’t it Sham? I mean if a house owns a swimming pool, then that people considered as rich. So I am glad that you will own a swimming pool soon.

If God permits, moreover I would like to swim in natural lakes and rivers, that too if it is safe.

Swimming Pool - Favorite Swimming Pool
I'm glad the boy was saved. It would have been very, very sad if that story ended up tragically. Thanks to that servant. I hope the parents learn their lesson. We don't have a swimming pool in the house. I think maintaining a pool requires a lot of effort, time and money and I don't have the luxury of all these. Anyway there are many resorts where my kids could swim so we could just go there when they want to enjoy water.

Oh gosh extra precaution should certainly be a priority when there are small children in a home with a pool. I realize that as parents we cannot watch our children every split second but a pool is something that perhaps some type of firm covering should be placed while not in use. If the home owners child but what about a curious neighbors child. All insurance companies here charge up the roof for homeowners with pools for this same reason. Definitely a pool needs daily continual cleaning, although the chlorine can be effective their will always be debris.

Swimming pools are great but your right..there should be saftey first. They have the potential to be very dangerous..especially with small children.

Swimming is an entertainment for people in all ages. So keeping a swimming pool near the home is really good. But if small children at home, we should be more careful. They don't know the danger behind it. Do not send small children outside the home alone. Learn to swim is very essential for all the people. We should compel children to learn swimming at the age of 5.
