A few days a go there was severe earth quake in the New Zealand, and today there is more severe earth quake in Japan . This time it's over 8.9 ... Not only that but after 2004 .. Tsunami has struck again in 2011....
Now a days climate change is also irregular and earth quakes are also seen regularly in different areas of the world.. Are these incidents pointing towards the end of the world..? What do you think..?

There are thousands of earthquakes every year. There has been no increase in number or severity. This is the price we pay for living on a geologically active planet. No reason to think that this is any indication of the end of the world or even the extinction of the human species.

Maybe it relates to that but I don't think it's about "the end of the world." I think all of this is happening because of environmental factors. One is the global warming which one of its effect is the rise in sea levels. Perhaps Global warming has reached such alarming levels that it is giving our beloved Earth all this calamities.

I believe this is the start of the tribulation that will come before the end of the world comes. This is not the end yet but the beginning of sorrows. No one can stop this but we can always be prepared and by prepared it means spiritual preparation. Physical preparation will be rendered useless for this would come always without us having any hint at all but even if it comes at the most unexpected time if we are prepared spiritually, then we will have no regret at all.
Surely, signs of sorrows before the coming end of the world have been occurring and hence the prophesy in Matthew 24 is true and may I quote to you verses 1 to 8 to further testify:
1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Hey Soumya, I don't really think there is need to panic by just having few tremors under the surface. Even if the world is to end in the coming year there is not much that you and me can do about rather than to wait and watch. But yeah what we can do on our part to make sure that we try and make people aware about the harms that we are knowingly or unknowingly causing to the nature. This can really help us in the future to come. Natural calamities occur time to time and many people do lose their life too but it surely does not mean we should panic or think the world is going to end all of a sudden. One day all have to die but still I think that day won't be same for the whole of humanity...it better not be...

Hi Soumya!
Don't you think this is all a hype created by some people and media to make people fear unnecessarily?
First of all if the world has to end, it will end any moment, there is no need to wait for a specific date or time.
And weren't there thousands of earth quakes in the past?
Didn't we read how Japanese built houses using bamboo due to frequent earth quakes that happen in Japan?
So it is not an indication of any future disaster.
But it is also true that Man is not taking care of his surroundings, Nature, wild life, etc. So if that alters the balance of eco system and affects badly then surely humans will face the consequences.
Happy Mylotting!

It's really sad to see that so many disasters struck the Earth in the beginning of 2011 and there's nothing we can do to prevent them, but that doesn't mean that the end of the world;in fact, over the past decades I heard so many apocalyptic predictions about the end of the world that I'm no longer impressed by anything;in my opinion, the end will come when people least expect it;no one can predict when that will happen, and I'm pretty sure there's still a long time until it comes.

This is not really the end of the world as many would like to believ, but more like the Mother is sending the warnings to her children to wake up and to take notice of the fact that we are making her ill!
If we do not take this as a wake up call and soon do something about the pollution, global warming, deforestation, chemical poisoning etc. etc. we can expect the D-day sooner than otherwise!
