What is your opinion on survey sites?

Ok, i have never really been that good with computers, however as i need to earn money more now over the past few years than anything i decided to sign up to a load of different sites. I wish that there was a site where we could go to so that we could just put the name in of each survey site or other sites name in to see if it is legitimate or not. I have wasted so much of my time on sites that have turned out to be scams. Not only am i with sites that pay money but i am with other sites that pay with vouchers. This really is just as good as money for me as the vouchers can be spent in mnay stores and also in supermarkets. So when doing our grocery shopping or shopping for gifts for christmas, birthdays etc, this means we can use the vouchers instead of cash and so saves us our money. I am with a lot of survey sites, over the past about 5 years that i have been with some of them i have noticed over the past year or so that many sites now don't send out many surveys, they make it harder for you to get to the amount of points you need for vouchers, to me i waste a load of time on these sites as it does take ages to get to the amount. It seems like at the start everything is great, but as soon as a load more people join then the site seems to change and make things more difficult, a case of they have you signed up and so expect you to stay. Have you ever encountered anything like this or similar?

Due to the fact that i am with so many survey sites i do get an absolute load of surveys. Luckily they do state on them how long they are and sometimes if i feel it is too long or that the amount i earn is too little for what i am asked to do then i will not do them and i will just move onto the next survey. The ones that are about 30 minutes or longer do seem to drag on and i get bored so i won't do any long ones anymore. Only recently (this year) have i ever qualified for phoe call surveys, these have been a great help, i get a great reward from these and they don't seem to take long at all. Thankyou so very much for your response to this topic.

Hi remo86,
Lately i seem to be getting more and more telephone surveys coming my way. Whenever i complete an online survey many of these ask if they can contact us by other means and the telephone is one of them, we also gain very well from these as it is the company that telephones us so we do not face any charges there and once we complete the survey we get a pretty good reward from them. I have taken quite a few of these telephone surveys from different companies and from each that i have taken i have always been paid from them so far so they are all legitimate and as they are quick and easy to do and also pay well then i am happy to carry on doing more of these. I just hope that i do continue to get more telephone surveys in the future as these are a great bonus to my earnings.

I have joined several survey panel sites, unfortunately until now I haven't receive any invitation to any surveys. I'm a bit disappointed because I was expecting to receive at least one survey invitation from the survey panels that I have joined with. Anyways I'm still hoping that I'll get an invitation, one of this days.

I wonder which survey sites you have joined? It seems a little strange that you have joined a few of these and as yet you have yet to receive a survey from any of them. I am sure that some surveys will start to flood in soon, then you will be wishing that they would slow down, . I hope that you do get some coming through and that you enjoy them and make enough from them. It mainly goes off the details that you provide them with for the surveys that they send you so always make sure that you keep all your information up to date. Thankyou so very much for your response to this topic.

There's a limited survey sites that's available in my country, maybe that's the reason..;)

A shame that it is limited on the survey sites. I know that there are some survey sites that are international but this does not mean that it includes everywhere. Whereabouts are you from? I could check up to see if there are any that is useful that i do that covers the country you are in. If that is ok with you?

I can say that I've made a little bit of money with taking surveys online. However, since I've discovered writing articles I really don't spend any time taking surveys anymore because I found that it took longer to complete a survey that I've qualified for than it does to write an article. That said, the one thing that I would suggest to you is to check out quickrewards. They offer many different surveys on a daily basis and they also have no minimum payout amount. When I was on there every day, I would request a cashout once a week as long as I had over one dollar.

Survey sites are a rather mixed bag for me. Some of them, they can pay off rather well. Others, really are just an exercise in frustration and I just wonder if I could be doing something more useful with my time. It is very easy to go to survey after survey, only not qualifying. Especially considering I am convinced that I am just being strung along time and time again for a little bit.
Anything that does not pay cash however, does not even get a second look with me. These days, I tend to really stay away from them and just really do other things. The surveys on V-Mail Network are rather okay and sometimes I do actually get surveys off of that. Other times, not so much. Still nothing frustrates more than going hour after hour, than finding out that I'm not qualified for who knows what reason.

I guess that until we sign up for the sites and give them a go we never really know what to expect. I have a few good ones but have got rid of some that weren't worth it or made too many changes. I sometimes felt that there were far better things for me to do than to waste my time with some of the surveys i was sent. I do hate that we could get so close to the end of a survey, or actually to the end and then they say we don't qualify. This to me is a lot of wasted time and i also question if they would use my results and just did not want to pay me for my time. There are many i don't qualify for, this does become annoying, however the cash surveys are great, well they are when they come through and i qualify. I also feel the voucher surveys are great also, at the end of the day we can spend the vouchers in many different places to buy many different things, so it still keeps our money in our pocket as we could use the vouchers so vouchers are just as important as cash to me, expecially when i can use them for grocery shopping, which does have to be bought often, vouchers have helped me so much with this, also buying clothes. I guess most people just want the cold hard cash, but as i state, vouchers are just as important. Thankyou so very much for your response to this topic.

I love survey sites. Well let me restate, I love paid survey sites lol. If its not paid then I don't participate. I can remember my first site, lead to another site which lead to a load of sites. Now I can consider myself a legit paid survey taker. I do make a pretty decent amount a month from surveys. I don't see myself slowing down or stopping any time soon!

Hi keshia2007r,
I do love survey sites, well i do when i qualify that is. I think that it is great how you can be with just one survey site and that then others can open the door to many other sites. I too do make a pretty good sum, it costs us nothing but the time we spend doing the surveys and so it is a 100% gain of profit. I also see myself doing these for many many years, they are a great bonus, i never rely on these sites as we never know what happens in the future, so to earn plenty while we can is great. Why do you not participate in other survey sites, like one's that offer things like vouchers? To me it is just as good as earning money, especially as we can use them in many stores. Anything that saves us from using our money surely has to be a good thing, also this would help to keep us busy. Thankyou so very much for your response to this topic.

I can't really agree with that comment at all. I am with a load of survey sites, many of them i have been with for over 4 years and they are still going strong and still paying out and they do not require you to pay them anything, i think over 4 years is certainly more than long enough to say weather it is a scam site or not, so maybe you just haven't gone to the right sites, if you want me to let you know of some just ask and i will happily let you know which are decent enough. Anything that we can earn is better than earning nothing at all. Thankyou so very much for your response to this topic.

I have to say craigy that your certainly right it's wrong to accuse all survey sites of becoming scams when many have been paying for years it's the same for any online earner even mylot as long as the site is well run then the chances are the online earner can stay legitimate .

I would say that there are for more survey sites available for the americans, yes we do have quite a few here in the uk but not many of them are that good to be honest with you. There are a few which are international and it is great to get these, esecially being able to get some that the americans get. I will agree that there are many survey sites out there that pay very very little but some do have a minimum small payout yet in time this does increase making it take onger to get to the minimum amount. It seems though that many countries do miss out on survey sites due to where they live, a shame that the survey sites don't broaden their horizons to other countries. What makes one country more important than another? Surely the more information they get back which could be different then the better it is for them. Thankyou so very much for your response to my topic.

Survey sites don't make you very much money do they? I don't do them everyday because it seems like I don't qualify to take most of the surveys. I do go to a handful every now and again. I have been using Opinion Outpost lately because a friend told me they are very good about paying. My balance is 13 dollars on them right now but I haven't cashed out yet because I want to rack up some more money first. I also like Mypoints because even if you don't qualify to take the survey you still get 10 points just for trying... with Mypoints there are several other things you can do to get more points so that is not the only thing I do to earn on that site. I've cashed out on that site about 4 or 5 times over the past 10 years. But it was only in the past 2 years that I really discovered how to make the points add up. I'm also a member of Quickrewards, I've cashed out with them about 2 times in the past 2 years, but it is slow going as I don't qualify for a lot of the surveys and even if I do qualify I need to jump on them as soon as they are posted. Which means being up all night and waiting for them to post. Recently I've been doing swagbucks surveys as well, but I'm not so sure their survey program is the best as I haven't really qualified for any of their surveys.

I do seem to do surveys everyday, the amount i do really does depend on how much free time i have and how many surveys i get through and how long each one takes. Some don't pay good money but some do, most pay more than what i earn on here. I was with opinion outpost, i did leave them as i rarely get many surveys sent, i guess i didn't qualify often enough for what they wanted, but they did pay out and so are legitimate. Mypoints sounds good, i am with a couple of survey companies that pay you something even if you don't qualify, i like that you get something even if it is only small amounts, it is better than nothing and your being rewarded for the time you have spent on them. I am with quickrewards also and i hardly qualify for any of the surveys that they send through. I do think that they can be a good addition to helping us save money. It is better to get something than nothing but it does have to be worth it. Thankyou so very much for your response to this topic.

well i am useless with computers and know what i need to know, ie: turn on the computer, do my emails, surveys etc and switch it off. over the past 2 years i have joined quite a few sites and the money and vouchers have helped me so much as i am a single mum with 2 kids. there have been a couple of sites that in the begining you can earn alot of vouchers and then when more and more people join they cut down the amount of vouchers you can earn. i understand their point of view if they are not a big company but the vouchers helped alot. also there have ben a couple of sites that i have wasted alot of time on and when i requested my payment i never recieved it.

I myself am not that great with computers, there is so much that confuses me. I just know the basics really but that is enough to get me by. I to am a single parent, i signed up for survey sites years ago, i also earn both money and vouchers from these but i don't do as many surveys now as i have my son who takes up a lot of my time, aswel as a full time job. Beore my son came along i was doing a lot of surveys, i don't get paid much in the job that i do but i do love my job and so i saw these surveys sites as a good way to increase my earnings, they do make a diference. However this has cut down now becaus with having my son i can't do as much work on the sites as i want to and also with the fact that some sites have changed the earnings or minimum payments and so it now takes a lot longer to get to the amount i need to. Until we try these sites we do not know what to get from them, i to have had some major changes due to more people sigining up for these sites, but i just try to do as much as i can with the spare time that i have. If you add it up over a year then it could be a decent amount with all the sites combined, and that extra money or vouchers does really help when you are strapped for cash. Well, it certainly has helped me pay for many things over the years. Thankyou so very much for your response to this topic. .

Of course its all nice from the start and then it gets worse. The sites need to attract traffic and when they do, they start earning on the traffic they attracted by worsening the conditions and paying less. Thats what i have observed.

It seems that at the start they just want to get you signed up and with them then you are hooked and thinking you will get loads of stuff, then as time moves on small changes start to be made quite often and it is so different from when you first joined. I too have observed this, the more people that join the harder it becomes to earn, yet if many people left i wonder if they would change it again and give us better rewards like we once had? well i doubt it really, but this is the way that many survey sites work. Thankyou so very much for your response to this topic.

I use to always get on survey sites and make a few extra bucks here and there. But, now I decided to quit getting on them because, for one, they don't pay a whole lot and also because they hardly ever say that I qualified for the survey. If you don't qualify, the site doesn't pay you for doing the survey. So, I may do the entire 10-15min survey and not get payed a single thing. Also, even if I do qualify, the surveys pend for days or weeks and never stop pending. So I completely gave up on survey sites because there are much simpler ways to make money out there besides spending that much time online and not earning anything.

I am still with a lot of survey sites, i think if we are all honest then the incentive of extra cash is what we want. I don't have as many survey sites now as i once did as i cannot keep up with them all. I know what you mean on not always qualifying for surveys, and completing surveys but not getting paid, these are where the sites do let us down. I also hate the fact that many sites state the lenth of a survey, this can also be wrong, they could say we can have a 15 minute survey, yet it could take us double the time to complete it, i hate dishonesty and some sites are like this often. I think the longest time we are meant to wait for the points to go through for a survey is 6 weeks, this is way too long really, but i have gone through some of my information and found that i hadn't even been paid for some surveys i completed towards the end of last year, this is disgraceful and just shows that if they could get away with not paying me then they would, i wonder how many other people this has happened to? I guess this is another way for them to make more money really. Thankyou so very much for your response to this topic, hope your having a great weekend.
