My first question is why are you concerned about developing diabetes? Do you have risk factors or have you been told you are pre-diabetic?

Well, my grandmother had diabetes and her feet gets sore because of diabetes. But she didn't die of it.

Since you had a relative with diabetes, you are at increased risk of developing it. The 2 most important things you can do are to exercise daily and keep your weight at normal levels for your height. Diabetes can cause severe circulation problems with is why your grandmother had problems with her feet. That is very common in diabetics as is cardiovascular disease. Your physician should be doing a yearly blood test that will check your glucose levels. If you experience any increased thirst, increased appetite or increased urination, call for an appointment with your physician to make sure everything is ok. BTW I am a registered nurse so that is where I am drawing this knowledge from. Good luck!

I didn't know about that. Now I know that I have a risk of developing diabetes. I'm gonna change my lifestyle from now on . I need those veggies! I need to lessen eating sweets like candies and chocolates. For now, I'm fine and enjoying eating food like spaghetti and friend chicken. I eat at KFC. but I also eat the seafood. Can that be great?

Your thin so that can help but it won't save you totally if you have a genetic predisposition to it. But things like regular exercise and watching your carbs and processed sugars can keep things in check. I know I worry too bout this but I'm not thin and have not been for too long. Sadly it costs money to be healthy and it's awful knowing that processed foods are cheaper than natural foods and organics

I hope my metabolism will help me prevent diabetes. Can it help me? Healthy foods like the ones in vegetarian restaurants are expensive. Fast food is less costly. I'll still value Health because health is wealth.

eat healthy and wisely. eating smaller portions is a great way to lose weight. you can make it look like more by using a smaller plate or a salad plate. avoid snacking while you are cooking. don't be tempted to eat the unfinished food to keep from throwing it away or storing it in the refrigerator. eat breakfast everyday, and make you meal and snack times refrigerator. eat breakfast every day, and make your meal and snack times regular by having them at the same time each day.. these activities can help you prevent the onset of diabetes and all can improve your overall health levels.. :)

Personally overall there is nothing really a person can do to 100% ever prevent themselves from getting Diabetes. Even if you choose to be able to stay skinny and avoid sugars, etc. Diabetes really has no real size issue or age factor, etc. if it is something that runs in your family. For me there was no way for me to ever really avoid it due to other Health issues and genetics. All I can say is this should not be something you need to worry about unless you have other underlying health issues to possibly lead to that, or you tend to eat foods high in sugars, along with sweets, etc. as well.

I wonder whether you have had the symptom of diabetes or not, otherwise you hear me a word, you don't worry yourself for nothing.Diabetes usually relates to heredity.

I don't have the symptoms of Diabetes. I'm just worry because my grandma is diabetic. I realized that I have a risk of inheriting it. I hope not

Well , please do avoid food with much sugars , too much intake of softdrinks may also lead to diabetes , but so sad because diabetes is hereditary . Means if you have relatives who have diabetes it is possible for you to have also and you are so prone to this sickness

Good question!Having a healthy lifestyle is the key to have a healthy body. Do things in moderation. Sleep at least 8 hours a day. Eat the right kinds of food. Avoid having vices. Exercise. That is only some tips but there's a lot you can do to be more healthy.

Your going to get any of your leg be amputated if you don't value your health. Have balance diet; eat fruits and vegetables, exercise at least 3 times a week. Simple but effective.
