I've been writing since small .. I don't see myself as a writer but I think I'm born to write .. whether scribblings or nonsense , it's my forte. I used to join a writing club in school before , and was torn between a particular sport and the writing club. The latter won , ahah .. and I joined tournaments on and off ... to the dismay of my school friends. But there's just something about writing which is a source of inspiration for many. A lot of people can express themselves through writings , but they do not realize. Some look upon writing as something embarrassing , which I think is not. I used to have a blog and scribble my thoughts there. But I have not been blogging since , I don't know if I'll do it again someday but for now , I have myLot portal and the microscopic Twitter to scribble again. It's like an electronic journal so to speak , ahah! That's good that you have chosen to write to your heart's contents. Never stop yeah.

I think my friends and family like to think of me as a writer more than I do - it's something I do more on an "in the mood" basis than it is a hobby or passion. When I do write, however, my inspiration normally comes from my emotions. I like to be able to express myself through poetry and metaphor. Another source of inspiration is history - my family history in particular, as well as what was going on in the my country (and in the world) at the various times my ancestors were living. I've deep roots in both New Orleans and the American South, and feel deeply connected to both. Like I said, however, I don't consider myself a big writer. For one thing, I have to be in the correct mood and frame of mind for it to come out right, I am not one of those natural writers who can spin out whatever they want wherever they want; I have to let any writing that I do evolve by allowing my feelings to move me. Best of luck with your writing - family and friends are always a great source of inspiration!

Yes, sometimes. Usually don't get the chance to anymore. I am not a gifted writer, but I can tell about my childhood. What make me continue? I joined a couple sites that pay for articles. Haven't done much with them lately. Not enough time in a day.

Because I'm interested in the topic and feel it is necessary since too few people are communicating views I share to the public. This article on the TSA is an example (it's rather long). http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978877569

I'm not sure why I write. I used to make up stories in my head all the time when I was small. I've allways been attracted to science fiction and fantasy, not sure why. I'm inspired to write by wanting to help people to understand thing. I do write non-fiction articles, mostly about religion and cacti and succulents (I publish them on Helium). I've also been trying to write science fiction and fantasy stories forever. I'm not much good at short stories, I tend to get way to complicated, but epics take a long time to do. I'm inspired by all the things that are wrong with the world, like why aren't nerds recognised as a "visible minority". I think part of it is being persecuted all my life in a culture that claimed not to be prejudice and not against any group I belonged to. I think it's partly becausse I'm a nerd (somebody with poor athletic ability and social skills but intellectually gifted), partly because I have a Jewish sounding name and look like Einstein but wasn't raised Jewish and have no known Jewish ancestry. I'm not sure the people who persecute me know why they're doing it. I also have an unusual combination of scientific and artistic skills. I've even been told there was a conspiracy against me but not told who was doing it and exactly what they were doing. I'm pressently about 75% through writing a Christian/Messianic response to The Da Vinci Code which works on a different about the Priory of Sion. I also do everything (write, draw, do all the the technical stuff) for a web comic - http://www.pixelpalaces.com/dk/ - this is one of few web comics mostly in the SVG format (I did say I was a nerd with a weird combination of scientific and artistic skills). It's about superheros in a future world where most people have been modified by nanites to be elves, lycanthropes, etc.. And there are also aliens and cute, fluffy Velociraptors.

Hello edsss! Yes,I do write. I started writing 3 months ago in a site where I found a family and that includes you. Honestly,I really don't know how to write articles,I even made a discussion about it here if writing an article is a talent and many mylotters responded and that's the time I knew that many mylotters are from triond, lol! Well,my inspiration in writing is my family in triond, reading their articles inspired me to make one. I also made a poem and my inspiration is my hubby. I guess,my triond family and my own family keep me from writing. See yah!

Personally for me, writing and having the chance to write is a good way of being able to talk about things you have experienced or things going on right now and a way to take your mind off of your problems. I personally would Love to be a published author someday and feel that with each step of life I take my creativity continues to grow, and myLot is a big help for this as well.

I do like to write but I write mostly information articles, opinion pieces and blogging. I'm not really a creative writer. I just write about things I know about and am interested in. When I was younger I dreamed of writing a novel but I don't know if I could actually do that. Maybe someday. For now, I'll just stick with the shorter works, but I'll keep on writing.

What inspires me to write is to communicate my thoughts, ideas and beliefs. I get topics from my interests. It is easy to write things that you like. Other than these things, I write for materials that can be used in our organizations newsletter.

Writing is my second choice hobby in which I can relate into it with my inspiration, of course. My innate desire to write started in my childhood days. I've been doing it alone with my imagination exploring deep inside of me. But, now I can do better than before which made me used it diligently.

The thing that inspires me to write is my daily life actually. If something interesting or bad happens, I write them down. If there's nothing going on in life, I don't have any inspirations.

I write a lot actually, articles and stuff about what interests me, and what is happening in our world right now. So my inspiration is the world I guess? And my heart x)

Honestly speaking I didn't know I can write not until I joined this site. I have never written anything concrete for the reading pleasures of others. Coming here frequently have more or less taught me how to string words together to create a readable piece. Now I am hooked to writing when I get encouraging responses to my discussions. I have no specific topics to write. I write anything as and when new ideas come knocking in my mind.

myLot is one of the best sites that we can learn, open-up our feelings, and make new friends and sometimes we treat them as part of our family..

I write as frequently as I can, no matter what it is. I just love to write. I stopped for quite a while because I just didn't have time, then as part of my A level English I was asked to write a creative piece on Harry Potter and I've got right back into writing.
