I think the most important thing is the experience and what's in the resume, cause that's unfortunately what they look for. To dress up nice too, you are right but I find out from a job that I was accepted once that it was about the chemistry. The last girl before me wich me and her were chasing the same stop were the last choices, they narrow the candidates down to us and I won even speaking less japanese then her. Why? I can only say it was the chemistry, how could the big boss to choose someone that actually knows less about what they are asking for? I don't know if I was more confident than her, if it was a miracle, if I said something that he liked best, but I think the interviewer get a little personal when he/she is going to choose, so chemistry.

be confident, know the position you are applying for so you will not get off guard when they ask questions relating to the position you are applying for. do not be too conscious as it may appear that you are very tensed and not comfortable... =)

Always use the STAR technique during interviews so you do not get off track and start to babble. S is for Situation. T is for Task. A is for Action. R is for result. When they ask you to tell me a time when you had to deal with an irate customer you would say: I recently had a situation at work when I had to deal with an irate customer who was loud and obnoxious in front of my other customers. My task was to difuse the situation so that we did not lose other clients. The action I took was to approach the customer and offer him my sympathy for his problem. I offered to personally solve his problem for him. The result was that he calmed down and left a satisfied customer.Good Luck with your interview!
