Do you think, dhoni made a mistake by giving the last over to Nehra?

It is a huge loss for India today. Till the last over i was hoping that India will surely win. I was amazed at zaheer's performance in 49th over. He bowled well giving only 5 runs in that over. However SA hit the needed runs in the next four balls. All the Indian faces in the stadium turned sad. Thats really very hard to see. So Is it dhoni's fault?

no not at all. It dont mean that if Bhajji bolw than they would win. It's just luck. And this time SA have the luck. But one think you all can ask that's about awful batting of indian batsman when they lose 9 wicket in 29 runs in last 10 over.

yes. thats something we have to be ashamed of. i was hoping during 30 over time that we will reach atleast 360. But to my disapointment we didnt even reach 300.

I think I'd be looking more at the batting performance. For most of the innings it looked like India would definately make it to over 300, so to be bowled out not reaching that was a boost to South Africa. To go back to your point I think the pressure did get to Nehra. I still thought India would win it going into the last over. I think India lost it rather than South Africa winning it, but you have to congratulate South Africa for not giving up.

Yes. South Africa should be appreciated. They didnt even touch 130 during 25 overs. But they managed to get the Target.

I don't think it is a mistake dhoni electing to have Nehra bowl the final over. They had a bit of luck on the first ball of the over that went to the boundary and Nehra bowled only one bad ball that went for six. All it takes is abit of luck and a bad ball and the game can turn like it had today.

It may not be Dhoni's mistake alone it must have been team selection to give final over to Nehra in preference to Harbhajan who was in top form yesterday but Dhoni will have to take that responsibility as a captain. That was a horrible decision, the baller who was hammered all over earlier in the day was given the all important last over in preference to the baller who performed exceedingly well even in the slog overs. India will not forget that loss for long time to come.

I know this is a sad day of Indian supporter.May be Dhoni made bad decission to give ball to Nehera.It will be given to Vajji.But we have to realise it is happen in Cricket. Congratulatuin South Africa....

Well for your kind information he gaved only 4 runs and i think giving the last over to Nehra was not a Big mistake because Nehra has the experience to bowl in those kinds of conditions but He should have give the bowl to Bhajji..Nehra not played the ODI for Couple of month and was lost that momentum So Bhajji was the right Guy to Bowl the Last Over...
