I don't really know but there are some dreams that I have had that I can not forget at all and I know how you feel They seem so real!! I just wonder what it really means? If you mind the answer let me know.

I think it's totally normal to have vivid dreams, dream in color, and remember them for days (years... all your life. Whatever). At least, I hope it's normal considering I'm just like that too!
I've kept a dream journal since I was twelve and I've always had really good dream recall, always been really interested in dreams and the science behind dreaming. I don't really believe that dreams have any sort of symbolic, prophetic, or subconscious meaning... but I do think they're a creative outlet, are vastly entertaining, and are an intriguing mystery of the human mind.
I've had random lucid dreams forever. I remember the first time I realized I was dreaming in a dream... it was when I was around ten. In the dream my Mom was telling me to get into a strange car and when I realized I was dreaming I tried to tell her that I was dreaming... but she acted like she couldn't understand me and she made me get in the car anyway. lol Contrary to popular belief... lucid dreaming does not automatically mean dream control. Recently I've been actively trying to get lucid dreams (not every day... but I do set off a lucid dreaming alarm on occasion), and I've found that the dream world does NOT want to obey me! lol Dream control is a different skill entirely, one that depends largely on lucid dreaming, but is not the same as lucid dreaming.
Hope you try it though... I love lucid dreams for reasons other than control. I usually have more vivid dreams and remember dreams better when they're lucid dreams.
