I am chilean and I'm at vacation now. But I have been shocked and moved by Japan's earthquake. I understand what an earthquake means and feel very small when the forces of Earth hit.
The tsunami was horrible and I stood pasted to the TV hoping that the sea would calm down.
I'm thinking of you, friends in Japan and all other countries that have been touched by this.

Mine too. I've known a good many Japanese people, and have a great affection for the Japanese. It's such a terrible disaster; I can't believe the pictures I've seen on TV and in the newspapers over here in the UK. I'm thinking of Japan as well; may God help her in her hour of deepest need.

Hi, Marguicha, I'm with them too, with all my heart. Japanese are a very brave nation, nobody could behave like them in such a horrible situation. They don't deserve this sad plight, to live on a shaking ground. But it's good to see, when a disaster happens, the flow of help from around the world. This brings a hope that the good in this world will prevail.

I live in a sjhaking ground and I don´t think it´s a matter of deserving it or not. At other places they have tornadoes and hurricanes, floods and other catastrophes. I´m so worried now about the nuclear reactor though. That can be worse than an earthquake.

It seems too much. Not only an earthquake and a big tsunami, but also the nuclear reactor which can be as dangerous as the earthquake

HEY, guicha, so NICE to see you here...BUT, but you are on holidays, and I am thankful you are in a safe location.
Such horrendous devastation..and all we can do, as a World, is watch and pray...and "mobilize" help! NOW, with the "double-whammy" of possible nuclear meltdowns, the healing & repairing will be slowed down! I just can't believe so much trauma can happen to this lovely nation. It is hard for "trauma" groups to be put in this face of Nuclear danger, too! Oh my, how do we help?
We, here, in B.C. have been on Emergency Alert since 2:50 a.m (our time) and all Coastal towns/waterfront dwellers evacuated..have housed persons here, at my home for the last two days. Our Tsunamis from this "painful devastation" come over the North Pole, past Alaska...but now Alaska (part of the Pacific Rim of Fire) is having a multitude of earthquakes, and they are adding to the intensity of the tsunamis we are receiving. The only lives, so far, that have been lost here, are the fools that remain on the beaches..taking pictures, etc.,...FOOLS!
I so, pray that all of this aftershock, nuclear meltdown will STOP soon!

I hope your vacation is going well. I have also heard about the earthquake and tsunami and I agree with you about feeling very small when these disasters hit. I hope most people there are safe now. Have a great weekend!

this bad news made me shocked. I could not believe that Japan suffered a very very big disaster: seism or tsunami...My friends and others in my country still stayed in Japan...I am really worried about it... Hope this disaster of nature stopping and every thing return normal..

The massive devastation of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan is a reminder to all of us that human life is fragile from the wrath of nature. My condolences to Japan. There's a big human loss and a huge economic impact on this matter. Let's pray for the safety of all mankind. I have relatives who are residing in Japan. I'm praying that they are all well. Got a call from one of my aunt's residing in Japan, thank God they are ok. However, we're still trying to contact my other Aunt who's in Tokyo.
