Perhaps this wasn't really a job, but I did get paid. Our neighbors across the street from us used to go camping a lot, so they would ask me to get their newspaper and mail for them - and they would give me a dollar a day for it! That doesn't sound like a lot, but to a little kid that was oodles of money - ha ha!!

You may not believe this, but my favorite part time job was working for a particular check processing and collections agency.
I made an okay wage, with the potential for huge bonuses. I worked 26-28 hours a week and when I hit my bonuses, it was as if I were working full time at wage, sometimes better. Whoohoo!!
The supervisors were all very helpful and nice. Training was extensive and thorough. The company offered no benefits for those who worked in the call center, however, which kinda wreaked, but the work was almost guaranteed as long as you followed the rules. Our facilities were very nice too, with an ample break room to lounge in, a full kitchen to prepare food in. We got an hour for lunch. We were outside of town but about a 10 minute drive away from many restaurants, banks, ATMs, stores, etc. Work was in shifts, Monday-Friday, and for 4 hours every other Saturday.
I loved it!
Very difficult to complain about :)
Sometimes people calling in were unruly and would say some TERRIBLE things, but the job security made it worth ignoring.

I think my favorite part time job was being a cashier in a grocery store. Even though I wasn't as fast as they wanted me to be, I liked dealing with the customers and I felt like I went faster as time went by. I got to know some of the customers so well that they would go through my line even if there was a shorter line nearby. I didn't like having to bag other line's groceries if I didn't have a customer, but I did it when I had to. My favorite times were when it was busiest.

Awwh the good old days! My favorite was working at Burger King as a cashier and burger flipper. I liked it because at the time I loved burger king food and liked dealing with the customers.
Now as an adult can't stand the food. lol

Peak Relief at the Library. It's an amazing job, I love books and the people I see there are so lovely. Unfortunately the hours are few and far between
