I think Dhoni had a bad game yesterday. First of all decision to play Nehra instead of Ashwin was again a bad move. Then not going for the shots while playing with the tail enders and exposing them to the South African quicks was another bad decision making. Then I thought the field placements were too defensive at various stages. Finally giving the last over to Nehra also turned out to be a bad decision, though I do not think that was such a bad decision actually. Nehra bowled poorly in that last over pitching the ball up to tail enders. Munaf did the same mistake against England and was clouted for a six which led to the tie!! Today Nehra did the same mistake and that to me is the worst part as Indian bowlers don't seem to be learning from their mistakes!!
Cheers!

yes you are absolutely correct Dhoni is responsible person for this loss and nehra also because Dhoni gave the ball to nehra because nehra bowls twice in last over while situations like this. Unfortunately he didnt bowl in area he thought. In my openion this is nehra's fault because he is senior to control situations like this.

oh the answer is simple.
batting powerplay.lol.
before powerplay,india were 250 for 1.by the end of powerplay,we were 270 for 6.
i wont question dhoni's decision of bowling nehra.
what happens if bhajji bowled the last over and went for runs?
they probably would have said" why didn't he give the ball to nehra?"
nothig else.

Cricket is a team game and everybody in the team is responsible for the gain or loss. As about yesterday's loss it will have to be stamped on bad batting from Indian so called as strong middle order batting line up. It was a pathetic show from a team tipped to be winner of the cup and famous for its batting prowess. First of all the all important batting power play which seems to be cause of batting collapse should have been taken immediately after the end of balling power play in 16th over. Time and again it has been seen that the team taking power play in slog overs invariable succumbs to the pressure of scoring at faster rate and gives the wickets. Secondly the last over should have been given to Harbhajan who was in full cry even two overs before. Instead the over was given to Ashish Nehra who had bad day yesterday and was hammered to all corners earlier in the day. It was a real blunder whoever responsible for that.

you cant blame a single player but i think dhoni was responsible for indias lost. first mistake done by him was with batting order. then in the last over.

I think whole team is responsible for the yesterdays loss. Some things gone wrong in yesterdays match in dhoni's decisions..Firstly sending yusuf pathan up the order instead he should come up the order as we knw is not playing well fast bowling and that too steyn wooohhh...Second thing After suddendly when yusuf got out he should take the responsibily of hitting the rather than virat kohli who can stick there for a while...When Coming to bowling part Our fast bowlers didnt bowl well except zaheer and our fielders dropped catches in fact there is a famous saying that "catches win matches" and the biggest mistake he should had given last over to Bhajji instead of nehra No Doubt Nehra is great bowler but in this match he was not on the mark and was leaking runs..So i thought Bhajji was the right to guy to give the last over...
Hope team India will Learn from their previous mistakes...

Hi there,
First thing it is the muddle order batsman like Yuvraj, Yusuf, Kohli, and Dhoni himself who were termed the run machine or tornado but yesterday they looked like naive school boys. Their thinking is if Sachin has scored a century it is over.
Second thing why Nehra was there specially when he was being thrashed like anything? Instead of Nehra if Ashwin had been given a chance this would not happen.
And the last thing is Harbhajan's missed catch.
