For the 5th straight season, Arsenal season seems to be falling apart in the Feb-Mar period. Just a couple of weeks before Arsenal was on it's way to an quadruple. Then they lost the Carling Cup Final, were knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona and yesterday were knocked out of FA Cup by Manchester United. Now they are only alive in Premier League where they are 3 points behind Man U with a game in hand.
So how do you think Arsenal's season is going to end? Again Trophyless?
Cheers!

Yes, I think Arsenal will finish again without winning a trophy. I feel sorry for them, because Arsene Wenger does a fantastic job there. But they seem to be cursed or they always lack a bit of fortune, so they remain without trophies almost all the time.

I think the question that really needs to be asked is whether Arsene Wenger is a great groomer of talent or whether he can really build world beating sides. The only reason why I ask this question is how many really smart defensive buys he has done over the years. I think his last real steel signing was Patrick Viera. All other of his defensive signings have been average to good category, but none really excellent!!
What do you say?
Cheers!

I think that Arsenal has created very good players, but has always sold them.I haven't followed Arsenal so closely, only in the European competitions. So I cannot say a clear statement, but maybe you are right.

I think it will end trophyless to be honest. Man United just seem to be winners and Arsenal, well losers or nearly men. Wenger has not instilled a winning atmosphere it would seem amongst his team and they wither and die when the pressure is on. For example against Sunderland, Newcastle, and especially in there recent cup defeats.
It's a shame but i don't think they will win anything for a while.

I have mentioned either here or in another website, that the Carling Cup is an important match. Win and they have broken the psychology barrier and lose, it will be a blow for them. So far, it had been proven right. But then, even as a most ardent fan, I dont rate them against Barcelona and Man Utd. While it can be seen as their season going off-rail, one must take in consideration that in the last four matches, Barcelona aside, the opposition goalkeepers were the Man of the Match. What is meant was that, Arsenal is very unlucky not to have won. As for the league title, the next three games is very important. It is mainly because of their morale and March, being the worst month for the last three seasons.

You are right the Carling cup was the acid test. And they failed miserably in my mind as they lost to a much inferior side on paper. As far as Barcelona and Man U are concerned, I agree with your comment on Barcelona who really hammered them. But against Man U it was again Arsenal playing naively and United hurting them for their defensive weaknesses!!
Cheers!

I personally think arsene wenger is scared of silverware or something because he simply is not good enough to get it ?? since 2005 arsenal have lacked the winni9ng touch !
Sack arsene wenger and replace with a great manager.
