What to do when task manager is not responding?

Hello tech guys, When ever any program goes stuck or not responding,we have a magical key combination which is nothing but Alt+Ctrl+Del.It will open a window called "windows task manager". Now my question is,What can we do when the task manager is going to be unresponsive? I mean what can be done other than pushing the re-start button?

If the first comment box above does not help I would suggest to then power force the system off and allow it to reboot and all should return to normal. Perhaps the computer memory was way too bogged down and was sort of on overload. Hope you did resolve this.

Oh yeah, this is frustrating, isn't it? Everything goes into the catatonic unresponsive stage. I try tapping the start button a few times to see if the shock doesn't snap everything back to attention, or just walk away and let whatever is hanging up the works chill out. (Of course, if and when it does, 20 task managers open because you've hit the sticky-key combo so many times!) If that doesn't work or I'm impatient, I hard-shut it down.
