OK, here's the story. I'll TRY to make it short. I have a Linksys router and a Netgear. I could never get the Linksys working, which I got from e-bay. For awhile, I thought it might be the router. My stepson was living at home at the time. A friend came over and got the router working. My son had xbox live. His cousin came over with a laptop and that worked. me, I couldn't even get wireless with those wireless USB adapter. Looking at instructions, one option it gave was to push the reset button. I did that. After that, no one could get wireless, and that friend could not remember what he did to get it working. Well now, I have a computer that has an internal wireless card. I know it works, because yesterday I took it to Mcdonalds. It worked perfectly. I got the netgear, thinking OK, I messed something up on the router. Nothing. When setting up, I hook the modem to the router, then one of the numbered ports on the router to ethernet port on my computer. But it doesn't pick up the internet. I thiught it might be the ethernet cord, so I bought another one. still nothing. On the tray, it I'm connected the linksys wireless network, it's connected and the signal strength is excellent. Can someone help?

To make simple, use just one Wifi Router at your home. Your Internet Modem should be attached to the Wifi Router. I think you have just resets the Linksys Wifi Router Wireless functions to its factory configurations. If there are no Wireless connections to the Linksys Wifi Router use cables or the CAT RJ45 cables to connect to the Linksys Wifi Router. Once there are connections, open any internet browsers you like then type 192.168.1.1 on the address bar to administer the Linksys Wifi Router.
