A sparrow couple made nest in the upper corner of my balcony. When I go to the balcony the tiny birds quarrel with me in their language, as if I'm a trespasser. I don't want to disturb them. I go to the balcony very cautiously. But they are very alert. They can't tolerate me. So I surrender to them and return back to my room. I enjoy this two little birds quarrel with me. Let the sparrow couple live in my balcony. Have you such experience?

Hi Bhanusb, sparrows are so cute, I just love them! I do not have any building nests in my balcony but I scatter millets all over my balcony to feed the sparrows! They come in droves to eat them! A couple of years back, I had also planted some millets for them!
My mother grows strawberries in her balcony and everytime when they start to ripen, she has a couple of bulbuls visiting to eat them. Once she picked off two really nice and big berries and the next time, the birds flew in for their treat, they found the berries gone, seems like they had selected those ones for themselves. and when they saw them gone, the created such a racket that even people from next doors came to see what was happening! It was a very hilarious thing to watch those little birds putting up such a protest! :)

Yes we often have birds which nest in places we need to be. We just are quite and gental about our movements and after a few weeks they accept us and we coexist in fairly close quarters.
