At what age is one old enough to date.

All i want to say is that they don't really care about us, all they want we to do is focus on we books, but remember all work and no fun makes Jack's brain an empty box. I believe there is nothing wrong in dating as long as them serious, So Mr./Mrs religious, don't stop me cos that 'll make me furious.

The right age to go on a date is when you are fully aware that you are mature enough in handling a relationship. When you're still young like aged 14 perhaps, you can go on a group date. It is by this that you explore other people, mingle with others and gain friends.
By the age you graduated in college, you can now search for work and earn something to spend on a date. I feels much better if you know the person well you are courting before you jump into a conclusion that she's the one. But I believe that there's love at first site that no matter what you do, you got struck by it. It's cupid as they say.

Well for me dating is not at all a big issue as long as you know your limitations and you know what you're up for. I have a deep respect for my religion but I had dated when I was your age. But right now I've finished my school and had no problems and issues with relationship because I knew where my limitations were. And I truly agree with you about that all work and no play. But I think your parents are just scared for things that might happen to you that might hinder or slow down your dreams for the future. I think your old folks mean well when they want you to focus on study. But on the other hand as long as you know how to balance everything its not at all bad to go out sometimes.

I think it depends on your parents. There are parents who are really strict especially to girls and they don't allow dating until their daughter is already in mid 20's.

I see you are 16, so I believe that is an appropriate age, after all the law in the US says 16 is old enough to drive. So as long as the Teen understands how to delineate date, school and responsibility.

50 if you are my girl or son...LOL no serious i figure 17 is a good age cause you have most of your high school out of the way. Then you also have your driver license by that time so i figure that should be the next step. Now i hope that if the grades were to drop then they would have better sence than to keep trying to date that is when they should stop and get there school work back into shape....Atleast that is mytocents
